  1. You put the gloves on last, so don't worry about fitting your handplate through it. fear not, overlap the wrist until the armor fits nice and snug on your forearm, while you can still slip you hand through the wrist hole, tape it together when you get a good fit, then mark a line between the overlapped edges down the center of both. cut there and add the joining coverstrip over it. so tapering would be necessary in this instance.
  2. TO each his own, If you compare the frown to the original rs props screen used helmet, you can see the rs helmet is a very sharp, perfect pull, where the brian M helmet, which is what most helmets were cast from is a more soft pull you can tell on how the teeth look. we aren't used to the sharp pulls. but they are just as accurate. Compare a correctly trimmed and painted anovos frown to an RS and you'll see they almost look exactly the same. Comparing it to an ATA, AP, MTK, or CAP would not do it Justice as those are all 3rd, 4th, 5th generation casts detail will be lost. If anyone has seen an RS helmet next to an ata or AP you will see a huge difference.
  3. This is not a broken, or armor 'goof' from the movie. This is an accurate, armor cut solution to have better mobility for short stature troopers. I have seen this centurion approved. I have seen it been ok'd countless times by members from this site and ive seen troopers around me and in picutres who use this cut. There was no rush on the armor. For years I've researched the stormtrooper armor. Been on this site for about 4 years now so I know for a fact this is accepted here. Most troopers are tall enough to not have to make these cuts but the short troopers in the movie have them. there shouldn't be a reason these aren't accepted.
  4. Thanks for understanding, I guess only short stormtroopers understand the struggle haha. As you said I never said I'm submitting for approval. I just thought people would love to see what a completed anovos armor looks like.
  5. He just restated saying bottom of shins and top of thighs, so I don't know where you got that from. I'm just clarifyin the cuts are accurate for short stature troopers. I'm not fighting with anyone, taking in feedback. But I won't take misinformed feedback. I'll round the cuts as suggested and make cuts in the shins, cause cuts in the back of top part of shins are accurate as well. Although the bottom of the shins may need to be cut too. You're just simply misreading what he said is all. I'm not insulting anyone.
  6. he clearly stated the armor is to be cut only at top of shins and top of thighs, so here's my proof showing two troopers with my cuts. As said before I will round them. Research first guys before making assumptions
  7. That's one set, keep checking. Some were cut for actors who weren't as tall there's a good pic somewhere when the troopers raid the control room where r2 and c3 pro are in. Can't post it right now. I'll look later
  8. again not true, yes the could be rounded, and I will round them. But it's clear in the Blu Ray screenshot images this is an accurate cut to tk armor. The back of thighs are a must have cut in order for short people to bend knees, run up stairs, run, I did this with my old tk, got eib approved, and when given centurion suggestions they stated this cut is ok. I'll find a picture in the reference to prove this. So to anyone else building this armor, cuts in the back of the thigh is OK. It's actually said to cut this part BEFORE you decide to cut the top of the thighs, as cutting the top could mee up the shape and detail at the top. There's a notch in this armor just like the originals that will get cut off that's supposed to be there.
  9. That's misinformation. There's clearly return edges on the pieces I left return edge on looking at the stormtrooper reference pictures provided on this website. I followed nothing but original armor pictures. Return edge is accurate. Some strips need slight trimming but this is made to replicate a movie production made tk. Minus the bracket strapping. return edge makes the armor look thicker in appearance. Gaps were in the original armor. Nothing looked perfect on it. As mine is the same. Of course the armor is not finished its just wearable at the moment.
  10. Hello everyone, I would like to show off my completed anovos tk pictures Total build time was 5 days. The armor in my opinion could be compared to TM and RS in terms of quality and thickness of plastic, the armor is very flexible, just like TM and RS armor. Most people will look at the armor and not like what they see, being use to AP, ATA, CAP, WTF, MTK, because all of those armors are from modified retooled rotj armor. For reference, I am 5'6, 145 pounds. The back of the legs were cut for better mobility, and i need to make the shins sit lower on my legs. this is my very first test fit with it all together another test fit will happen tonight a few changes are already made. Now, first things first. Before I am told what is wrong with the armor I will point out I know the drop boxes need to be spread out more, I will need a new belt since anovos has 4, I will be keeping the 4 rivet belt for now as I am in the market for a hero helmet, i already have the hero hand guards, grappling hook and com link. I plan to make a replica Luke in storm trooper disguise. The helmet frown will be filed and repainted, but i am pleased with the overall fit off the armor. Now to show it off! Note: A TM TD was used for these pictures as i can't find the 4 screws that came with the anovos TD Note: the eyes were cut out mor. It looks much better this way, frown will be repainted, and the lens are not installed in these photos
  11. I have an anovos and an AP and I got to see an RS too the anovos is almost just as accurate at RS better than AP MTK ATA cap wtf, it really is cast from original armor it has all the tells of original armor
  12. Not the best two kits to compare to, since both are fan made and will be very different from anovos armor. You will notice right away how much more wonky anovos is than both of them.
  13. RS has that same heavy bend on the bicep, also screen accurate checkout the NE vs RS thread same bend. Here is some proof, RS is on the left. I just think most people are not use to screen used armor, so more complaints will come in about the armor being wonky when its supposed to be. good thing we have a thread to debunk these things. http://s168.photobucket.com/user/terrellrguard/media/FISD/DSCF2091_zps24301c99.jpg.html
  14. Pics or it didn't happen!! haha
  15. The power cylinders are completely wrong, and there oddly a empire cog on the counter box, but other than that they look pretty good for basic tooping.
  16. Maye now we can stop asking them to ship and let them do there thing.
  17. They are using pictures of the anovos helmet, and pictures from the guy selling armor on the rpf fprum, hes lying by showing others pictures uless you wanna get ripped off stay far away from anything on etsy.
  18. Just compare it with any movie photo and you will see its not even close.
  19. At this point Anovos is a little more expensive than other kits available today. You'll be paying just as much or less if you buy from one of the vendors on this website. Email the people on the page get info
  20. Stay away from this armor, very very far away. And stay off of craigslist when looking for armor, and eBay.
  21. I glue the elastic strap on the inside of the forearm and bicep, more to the outer edge of the arm.
  22. Which Is exactly what I said, did you read my post correctly? I said people are to use to RPTJ derived armor (ATA CAP MTK AP) and you corrected me saying the exact same thing I said. They are ROTJ armor derived. People are too use to that look and forget what screen accurate looks like. I'm not sure about the AP molds maybe I'm wrong on that but I know I was correct about ROTJ derived armor. So no point in correcting me.
  23. I can't see the pictures
  24. I think its funny people think the armor is too sharp. I think people are too use to the rotj derived armor (ATA CAP MTK AP ) and forgot what screen used armor and helmets look like. This armor will blow all of those listed outta the water in terms of accuracy. Check out the original HDPE stunt helmets, they are super SHARP. Even the RS helmets replicated in the same type of plastic are extremely sharp. And now anovos is too sharp? I gues we will see but don't forget AP uses aluminum molds aswell. If fanmade kits like AM and RT get approved, this one will have no problem when built properly.
  25. Patience, I haven't hear of anyone who ordered from RS and did not receive a kit
