When everyone on the forums says that. What does it mean I have not a clue?! Please help.
-
Throw it in the washer?! Lol. Or scrub it with a toothbrush and hang it to dry

The RT-Mod is not as big as my XfX bucket. It's more snugged but again I am 6'2 and my head fits great so not complaining. Maybe order the helmet only from rob (RT-MOD)

Haha nice well done

It's ready! It has a number of items that need some tweaking and additional work (such as my white thigh garter and painting the ab plate), but I'm very happy with the build! My girlfriend and a friend stayed over until almost 3am last night (3rd night in a row of that for me) to help put the final straps and snap plates in, plus measuring and cutting the kidney and ab plate.
No, I definitely didn't follow Rob's instructions. I went off of multiple sources, including builds here, but I have to admit, I could not BELIEVE how much I had to come up with myself. It's almost like these forums are for people to say, "here's what I've done, but don't worry about how I did it" for a lot of things. I have found details about every single little thing in the most random of places, but never all together, including the tutorial thread.
I will post more photos here once I have more time to do so. I have too much going on! I will take additional pics as well.
I cannot believe how many snaps and snap plates I installed. Just wait until you see the pics
I can't wait to put it on for the FIRST TIME! I've never actually put it on fully.. just test fit each piece and set of pieces. I had to wait for the shoulder straps to dry overnight
Lol, I can't wait! Man well congratz and good luck!

Thanks for all the tips guys. I am going to try this I am sure it wont be too bad!

So is it ready? make sure you post pictures of your build and or your troop tomorrow . Btw did you use Rob's guide you get with the armor or you used assembly tips on here?
Thanks Jesse! It's relatively comfy, although it doesn't exactly breathe very well. I suppose that's no different than any other neck seal though. I'm working hard to get it done in time for halloween!
Thanks! I agree, Halloween would be a great first 'troop' to work out the bugs. I won't have a holster or blaster in time for halloween, so it won't be a complete troop even if I get the armour together. Still, I'm excited to be dawning white armour for the first time!

Sell them, or wear two pairs of socks?
I was thinking about the extra sock part . lol, if i sell them i don't want to wait another 6 months or so before i get another pair. Might just keep them :/ but a bit bummed out

I ended up buying Tk boots size 12 because that's what my vans are but somehow this boots fit me big and loose what do I do now?

Just think of the 'saran wrap' as unwrapping Xmas presents...again and again and again Rob does a great job of protecting his work so it gets to you unscathed! Have fun - I enjoyed my build of the armor he built for me very much. Good luck and remember you have an invaluable resource right here on FISD if you have questions (which you undoubtedly will)!
Thanks! Yea it's exciting and crazy that after long months of wait it's actually Infront of me . I already have a lot of questions lol

Excited for you Jesse!!!
Good luck and have fun putting this beauty together!
Thank you! I am also excited I received my box last night and I was super excited I had even forgotten that I was studying for a big test lol. But I can't wait to open it more and put my pieces together

Awesome Jesse! I understand the feelings the first step is the scariest. Once you jump in it is a roller coaster but so much fun!
Good luck and don't worry to much about the little scratches they polish out real easy.
Have FUN
Mike
What do you use for polish? I've heard something nova

I can show more pics if requested just took those for now just scared to take them out of the awesome Saran Wrap they come in then it all gets scratched. I don't know where to put it lol

No problem Jesse, apology accepted!
It is easy to unintentionally say the wrong thing sometimes. But as they say 'it takes a big man to apologise'!
Good luck with your build.
Ian
Thanks man just received my RT-MOD armor today going to post some pics

I am super sorry guys I never meant to offend anyone and I would strongly like to apologize. My intentions where not to offend anyone. Should have better worded my post and again sorry for that. I am still learning myself an I am also a rookie and still learning just glad a fellow 501st member directed me to whitearmor before I did a mistake on choosing other armor that was not what I would like. But again sorry about my post and those I offended

Good luck with your build! I'm building my RT armour right now.. trying to get it done for Halloween. I'm close! Just need to finish the thigh pieces and build the snap plates and straps.

I say go to RT-MOD.com and message rob His armor is amazing! thats what i ordered back in july and just got it. Amazing quality and its ready to assemble when you receive it. No trimming just assembling and you receive the helmet already assembled. But its all preference. Great guy to deal with just downside is a long waitlist but trust me it will be worth it

Baby powder does that really work? Btw with my Push to talk for my iCOMM how do I keep it from shorting out on me from my sweat?
