  1. So what do you guys and gals think? good to go?
  2. So I might start from the bottom up starting with the shins , if they look ok on the previous pics I might give it a go, the only thing is that I don't have the boots yet so I'm wondering how big the opening at the bottom should be? well here they are, I was told the inner left shin is a duplicate of the outer right one, I think I got them right, but I will like some input before I start cutting away!
  3. Well I think I got to the point that I have all the pieces cut out and now I have to start cutting the edges for butt join, also got all the covering strips cut, so before I start cutting away I did a quick test fit , what do you guys and gals think?, the cod piece is a bit low, hopefully it will rest a bit up after the strapping is done, do you think the proportions are ok?
  4. Ahh thanks Paul!! that clears my doubts, cheers mate!!
  5. Hi Troopers, I'm planing a trip to the fabric store and I was wondering about the size of these sew on snaps? do you know what size are these?
  6. Do you guys think I should cut ''blue'' all the way to the end of the base or ''red'' leaving a bit of the underbox sides showing?
  7. got the small buttons plate cut
  8. Like this? I've trying to find some references, the sides really uneven in some shots from the archives ,it seems that some people here round the edges and others don't. Something like this?
  9. Hello troopers, I'm just about to cut the ab plate and I was wondering if the plate cover all the way to the end or it leave a bit of the edges of the box underneat? if you guys have any reference pics it will be awesome!! thanks
  10. I know it's hard to tell I'm going to post some more photos to see if people can give me some input!!
  11. Greta links , thanks man, yeah it seems is the same for both arms, the inner side is curvy !! and it talks about the shins too, one is mirrored, do this looks ok to you guys and gals?
  12. Thanks, I'm just about to start cutting away to butt join!! , so scary , I hope I won't mess up, I'm leaving 12 mm on each side for the forearms to cover with the 15mm strip, I still have some room inside so I might be able to cut one or two mm in each side, does anybody has an idea how long the butt joins should be or it depends on the size of one's arms?, ohh and on the AP shoulder bells arms and forearms are the same on each side so it really doesn't matter left or right, is that correct?
  13. Finally I got the chance to work a bit more on my Tk, I got most of the big pieces cut and sanded
  14. very cool, nice job!
  15. is the ''off''writing and the corners ok to sand down?
  16. ha! that's a great idea! I glued the switch already but the 2 part epoxy is forgiving !
  17. Got around to work on my E-11 a bit last night, also , do you think the ''off'' looks ok before I start carving away?
  18. Awesome!! great reference ! bit of putty and you are set Aaron, don't get discouraged
  19. Do you guys have a pic of how does it actually looks one the originals?
  20. I'm having the same problem myself, I haven't glue anything yet but it seems it's a bit tricky to align them straight, my kit it's an AP, and I was thinking to butt-join it since it will be a ANH , I hope that makes it easier to align, oh and you can bend stuff with one of these
  21. Hey man, You say u have about $350? If I were you I would take that and get myself an ATA or AP helmet kit, that will get you a nice looking helmet to star with , you will have fun putting it together, get some experience and it will leave you wanting for more, so you can use it when you save more for the rest of the armor, or just get the blaster and the belt and go dressed as a Luke ,and you can use the same blaster and belt for when u get your full armor!!
  22. Hi troopers, do you know if there's some one making belt clips for the thermal detonator?? thanks much appreciated!
  23. Trooperbay or-------------
  24. Hi troopers!! trying to find a pair of thermal detonators clips , any idea?
  25. Awesome reference , thanks Tim , it seems also that the forearms don't have any return edge
