  1. LOL yup it does wear down the armor. However, I will admit to having a few new spare AM kits. XD. I also have used truck-bed liner (rhino liner) on the insides of the armor parts to keep them skrong and durable. I'm not worried about wearing the armor away. It only means I get to build another TK!! Scars... Bah... only the best of the best targets. Just means you forgot to duck or were too slow to get outta trouble's way XD. Such SHINIES should be feared!!! Yup Hello Trooper... I live the Asian stereotypes... As well as others xD
  2. There are parts of the EFX that I also agree aren't the best. Besides personal tastes, inaccuracy, what's wrong with it? I'd say it's probably one of the most durable buckets ever created and is more accurate than an FX (which is my fav helmet).
  3. Love the quotes btw. I hope that didn't mean someone took this as I was bashing anyone who likes movie accuracy. That was not the intent. Accuracy just ain't my bag. Believe me I tried. I've owned ATA, RT, and TM. Owned two RS kits for a combined total of a month (got pulled out of the box, immediately put back in, and sold). I can't fathom the wonky and battle worn. Makes my OCD's "need to clean" kick in. LOL
  4. [ quote name=Daetrin" post="333282" timestamp="1392417194]I think there is a place for both. Are you asking people to submit photos? Oh gosh no. This is truly a joke squad. However, I'd be more than happy to make it "real" if there was enough interest.
  5. I'm a big shiny fan. . I have an orbital buffer dedicated to my armor and I go through a ton of Novus (I have the gallon jugs LOL). XD. Sad I know. I'm reminded at length by my garrison mates who chase after me with mud and grease. However, I love the shiny white so, don't HATE! XD
  6. TROOPS!!! FALL IN! DRESS RIGHT... DRESS! If you are taller than the trooper in front of you, tap them on the shoulder and move forward. READY FRONT! AT EASE! Today is inspection day! You troops are to stand in formation while adjustments are marked on your score card. Those who wish to show their love of their white armor may fix that which is unclean and join the Pass and Review for our Lord. Only those with the strictness, in mind and practice, may join this elite corps. Do I make myself clear? Welcome to the Strategic High Intensity Naval Imperial Escort Squad (S.H.I.N.I.E.S) BAH HAHAHAHAHHAHA! Wanna be part of my new squad? This is for those who know, that in the real military, not all armor/uniforms would be battle worn and want to have an inspection-ready costume. This is a chance to flash those "Class-A's". This would also include those who prefer all forms of "idealization" versus "movie accuracy". You would need to be shiny with no weathering etc. I'd like to even go as far to make lvl 2&3 titles (i.e. EIB/CENTURION). For those who don't understand the term "idealized", here's the best I can explain it. Idealized is the thought process that "the empire" would have progressed and bettered their armor making and mold creation; just as they progressed from Clones to TK (like the progression of our military from the dungarees used in Vietnam to BDU's to DCU'S to AMU/ACU/NMU and the OCP). For example, there would be no wonkiness. That would have been worked out well before our iteration of TK. The armor would have been symmetrical since symmetry is very attentive to detail. No sty, no tape, etc. Plus, in the field, real troops would take pride in their armor (well most and maybe I was the only guy who ironed and starched DCU's). However, I always had an inspection ready uniform in all classes (they also look better at attention in front of the commander if you got in trouble LOL). I understand people will disagree with the idealized but, I happen to like it and there are many others who'd agree .
  7. TYRANUS IN THE HOUSE!!! WHA WHA!!! LOL Gah even calling us slackers... geez! Them were decent philly steaks!
  8. Bah hahahahaha! Of course we post the pics of me actin a fool. Thanks Brian! Geez LOL XD I will echo how hot it was. Even with jumping in the showers in full gear to cool off, I still was sick afterwards. I guess the running around and photo bombing outside didnt help my cause much but, it was so worth it. We had a lot of fun with the 30+ year old kids outside but, the icing on the cake was the crowd overall. We walked onstage and they went totally mental. The film does it no justice. It was deafening. XD Evilboy, that's one of my favorites too. Silly TK makin bunny ears! Dang him whomever it may be!!
  9. I agree with all that everyone is saying that it is sad people get blasted, or otherwise, for wishing anyone good blessings in which ever religion they celebrate. It is a shame that people have become so callous to this. Though I do wish we had something to say for the rest of the year. It's sad we only wish people a Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas during this time of the year. Can't we wish everyone a Merry entire year too? ::Sorry this is probably not the place for this:: I'm a christian person myself but, I really do not like this statement that we as Christians are saying. It would be better to say "our country was founded under the guidance and grace of Christian founders" Our country was founded under the beliefs of religious freedom. We created the US constitution to allow all people of all beliefs to pray and worship with out recourse. This is known as our "Bill of Rights". Amendment 1: establishes the freedom of speech, press, religion, and petition "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." Article 6: "No religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States." I can go on and on. I know I'm gunna get blasted by this. I do however think it's unfair for us Christians to keep using that statement as a crutch. This is the major reason we left Europe to populate the "New World". After King Henry VIII killed all his wives and changed the state religion to allow his divorces, he separated from the Roman Catholic Church to form the Church of England. He then made it illegal to be an orthodox after the Anglican church came into power. King Henry VIII viciously murdered those still believing in orthodox religions. Following is where the creation of the Baptist religion was founded with Min. John Smyth in exile. Though used prior during the roman empire, this was also the heavy start of the "fish" symbol's use (I would explain it's use but this is not the forum to do so).
  10. Have you guys ever thought about liquid plastic welders? They work great, are almost instant and make a permanent bond between plastics (ABS especially) Below is a few linked. It doesn't distort the plastic and if you get a scratch will take the dullness away from scratches or buffs in abs and plexiglass. I use it with plexiglass all the time and use to put car dash pieces back together (abs). ---------
  11. I used this to glue broken car door seals in place. It works pretty well and doesn't crack in inclement weather. However, do realize it doesn't harden. It's still pseudo pliable and dries to the consistency of old chewed bubblegum. (Only description i could think of sry) I also agree with the gorilla glue. However compensate for it's expansion and it needs a spritz of water and a semi rough or matte finish to really set and stick well.
  12. It was the independence blvd one. It was even more funny in person.
  13. OOoOOoooOo.... shiney!!! My precious. LOL nice bucket Brah!
  14. Though i havent traveled with a TK yet, I do travel with all my steampunk regalia and it works great. Especially the tray at the top. it holds the little stuff very nicely. BTW the BIG retractable handle at the opposite end of the case's wheels is awesome.
