Whatever happened to the Reception Center on FISD that was based on the wiki? We had an excellent boot page that had links to the tutorials to make your own boots, but it's no longer there.
In fact the whole Tutorials area of FISD is a huge cluster f*** now compared to what it was before - hopefully the new management will get it unscrewed this year. I say this as then it would be just a click to get to what you want.
Here was Mark's HOWTO:-----------
link is missing, and i cant' find in this website too.
there is still the google cache up

i just bought a pair of johdpur to dye white
-
i just completed a slight modification:
I plugged the hole on the left side of the counter and I moved the blue LED inside the counter, with the light facing up. In this way we can see the blue pulsing light which indicates the state ON, via the net in front of the counter. Before it was too bright and not very canon.
p.s.
just a note about a new mp3 sound module found that may fit this project. This is the link to the ebay seller
From description datasheet it plays mp3 files via serial RS232 mode (that means can be controlled easily trought arduino), powered by 5volts
it's cheaper (19$ / 15€) and smaller (because it uses micro-sd instead of SD card) and may works fine with arduino.
I just bought 1 for test.

i bought that Punch product, i will test on a leather surface before going forward in johdpur boots buy.

very well done
i hope it will resist to scratches
did you use just the paint? one bottle was enought?

some time ago i have seen a video on youtube about a star wars game showing a tavern where someone was killed and some police troopers were investigating there (before the jedi or sith came). They had also some police veichles.
I was quite sure that game was Star Wars the Force Unleashed II, but i cant find that scene anymore
i would like to sample the siren sound from their veichles for a project.
Someone know about that scene and the title of the game?

thanks, i may consider selling this in the future but, at the same time, i hope you will get the right help to build it, as you said in the other forumMan if you sold this kit. I would be ALL OVER IT. This is great, and now everything else seems subpar!
p.s.
i added more informations about the battery in the first page.

Are first question was where do you get all the sounds?
just send me a pm i will forward you a link where u can get them
-
happy that worked again
very easy fix and soldering work don't worry
-
you may try to connect these 2 points with a wire
if it works again, you may solder the wire

thanks for the siren idea, i will add it to my e11 arduino board togheter with red and blue strobo lighting
i remember there are imperial police troopers in star wars unleashed II, may be i can try to sample the same sound effect
that's good to open the way in crowded events
-
cool! what board did u use?
-
great helmet have a nice time with it!
you already correctly separeted the ears, in my experience i made the error to use the same mold for both sides
-
Yep. It's a good bit different from real TK armor. It's well-made, but there's no way it would be accepted under any CRL. LOL...
FYI-I was the only real ROTJ trooper there. Sorry, Disney boys.
to me look like they use the rubies amor+helmet

E6000 is a bomb
just take care when use, avoid breathing it and repeated contact with skin (i use surgical gloves)
this product contains a chemical known to cause cancer (perchloroethylene)

This is an amazing thread! Thanks for taking the time to post this in detail.
thanks
I am considering on making one for myself. I have the software file for the Arduino. Can you post the sound files in a ZIP file? Thanks.
i sent you a pm

Love the fact you have to reload.
love it too
thanks i will think about it; i also shared my electronic work (scheme and code) for everyone that wish to made itAmazing work, Looks like you'll have a steady market if you decide to sell these as a kit, I know I'll want one...Buona Fortuna !!!
yep and i am happy it's working fineThats pretty awesome! Similar to the Hyperdyne set-up. I bet it cost you alot less $$ though haha
-
thanks! Actually during conventions i enjoy to use more the "Boba flame" or the "Uzi" light effect because there is a good chance to get the "laser" cached by camera lensThe E11 and stun modes with reload behavior, LED and powerful speakers make this awesome for trooping where it's usually loud (conventions). I put a simple board from triktoys on mine and it works but nothing like this and not nearly loud enough. I don't need all the other SFX as I like the idea of a blaster being a blaster. But this is truly amazing and a work of both art and love. Beautiful! If you ever start selling these let me know. :-)

thanks and sorry for my bad english in the video ;P

This is great and I'm going to give building it a shot. Does this method allow for RGB LEDs along the barrel like the blaster core version? Thank you for sharing your work.
Bob
this is not implemented in this version
Are these acceptable boots for Centurion?
