Yeah... ditch the pauldron would be the main thing.

Yeah, the ears are a PAIN the first time for sure!
You did a great job though I think!
Does the left ear tilt forward? I can't tell... and I didn't know if this kit was meant to do that or not.

Yes... great work, and LOVE the tube!!

How do the satin gloves feel on you? Grip, breathability, etc.
Breathability is incredible!
Grip?
You can hardly take them off once you have them on!
Actually they will be fine as I'm used to wearing rubber gloves with my TD; they don't fit my hands at all — I have Irish thumbs — and so it's like wearing some oversized gloves. These (i.e., the satin ones) fit great and give me a lot more control over what I can pick up.
For $14 bucks though — it was $7 for the gloves that much for shipping too — I can afford to get another pair and put some dabs of black latex on the finger tips if I need to.
Of course, if I did that, I'd have to have a 2nd pair of TM's hand plates... but that's not a big deal either.
Hope that helps!

Like Michael said, "Slow and steady."
If it's a choice between getting to wear your armor next week to meet George Lucas for a special luncheon between just you and him or missing that because you took one more day to wait on a question to be answered you just couldn't find the answer to, choose the 2nd option. You will be much happier in the long run!

save your trouble and get some flexible hand guards!
Hey... that's what I just said!

First off, congrats on the big brown box!
I see you have a cat, they are very helpful during this process!
Jumping ahead to the gloves, the only thing that will stick to rubber gloves is silicone. So if you want Velcroâ„¢ on them you'll need to get the kind that's not got self-adhesive on it and then glue it onto the gloves with silicone. Then put the self-adhesive kind on the backs of the plates (which you already have) and you should be good to go.
MY recommendation is get a set of Karin's hand guards.
Now onto the armor... yes, be petrified.
You will probably pretty much ruin your first 2 or 3 sets completely. Don't worry. It's only money.
And I'm kidding.
You'll do great man!
Just dive in!
I wouldn't use the 'instructions' very much.
Ralph Hinkley actually had it good when he lost the instructions.
Use the FISD instead!
Read, search, search again, read again, and ask questions!
Looking forward to the build!

... I used some of your pics from that sweet TM helmet you got for reference along with shots on StarWarsHelmets.com
You did GOOD!

And if you're going from EIB to Centurion one day keep in mind Hasbro blasters aren't accepted for Centurion.

Lookin' good!
Got the "chip" in the eye and everything!
