  5. ah its allready set off to get painted. I didnt realize there was a difference in thickness for the scope rail. I just was researching it and found that someone said 3/4" so that was what i went with.
  6. ya at the time i was trying to come up with a good cheap way to do the sight rail than i saw the aluminum cork backed ruler, just removed the cork, trimmed it to about 3/4" and there it was.
  7. I have no clue of the maker if the kit, ut was generiousally gifted to me by someone here on the forums, who got it from ebay. All i know is its not doopydoos the only part that is is the magizene parts. I am gonna go with the weathered look.

  10. thats ok it very well might be, but it is what it is. I tried to cut it exactly at 3/4" but theres always that human factor lol

  14. ill try that next, cause right now its just too cold outside to use e600 and dont have a garage. Plus just the idea of waiting 24hrs for it to dry is killing me. lol
  15. that was what i was using was loctite for outdoors that would work on plastic and such
  16. all is well just recieved shipping info.
  17. i think im going to try ca glue and accelator
  18. quick question to everyone when you payed for them did you pay through the link on the website? Just asking because i just recently recieved the email that they have my size avaible and had a email address to send the money to in it, but instead I payed through the website and the paypal was hooked up to a different email address.
  19. allright just found out i hate e6000 glue! i tried loclite gel superglue for outdoors seems to work but ran out before i could finish a piece since i used a decent amount of it in the e11.
  20. so would it be better to have a wide coverstrip to accomadate for the widder top and more narrow bottom or cut the cover strip in a v like shape?
  21. the thighs were the 1st part i did, and i trimmed them a little too small the bottoms touch in the back but not the tops so im going to run a 2" cover strip down the back on outside and inside with veclro and the front is about 1" and that will be glued
  22. heres the body armor trimmed:
  23. ok update time trimmed the return off the forearm entireally like in the pic, and can now glue them shut. Just realized it wasnt quite like the picThanks for the pic. Trimmed hand guards to correct size. I was wondering if it is acceptable for cent. Status to trim the return edge off of the bicep pieces? Was thinking if i can i should be able to glue them shut as well. Leaving only the thighs and shins with velcro. Also just bought rivet tool, elastic white and black, brass split rivets, started getting snaps, and got the snap anvil tool. If i finish trimming today and sand tomorrow it should be all stapped up within a week or 2. LOTS MORE PICS TO COME
  24. figured i could trim more off there just wasnt sure
  25. thats about where they are currently trimmed to. it might fit better once its all glued and velcroed.
