what i wonder now is if Mike is a reseller of sort for TE2...i know this is going off topic to my OP...but it looks like this now..

a helmet from both guys....only real way to find out....i think....

well some people think that Mike is Vt but if you looki at Mikes kit and the VT kit you can see that the molding is different..ok now..you can cut the top off after molding... but still...i think the only way to find out would be to have a MTK kit and a VT kit and check them out under a magnifying glass.... that being said.... i think Mike is a super duper guy and i have had nothing but good business deals with him. He delivers what he promises! plain and simple... but by the same token if Mike is VT then i find it very hypocritical from him to have done business on ebay that way even though the VT helmet does look cool ... in the beginning my heart was set on a VT kit then i found this forum and read about how wonderfull the TE lineage was..i tried to get a TE2 kit but i guess Tony is too busy to do kits now... After some research i ended up chosing an ATA kit because it was darn cool looking and the price was just right... I would rebuy from ATA anytime over VT or even Mike....because of the huge difference in prices...and ATA is extremely good quality kit and job too...

I have seen the site... What i would like to see is more of a visual guide to the different helmets and when they came in in time related to each other and the history of the makers... that would be nice...

I was wondering if there is a pictured history of the TK helmets floating around. Like some sort of timeline that would explain the kits, where they came from, who produced them , what they looked like... who is still producing and who had stopped producing. Also it would be nice to see the differences between the kits over time. I know a little bit because I read some pieces here and there but a properly done timeline would be nice. thanks

so you would not be penalized at all for the insides of the helmet... ...i tought it had to be like the star wars helmet.com but if you can mod it it would be nice yes.... cheers

Hi Guys... Just wondering what you can do inside your helmets as far as 501 st membership goes... I have read the info but nothing suggest that the insides of the helmet must be exactly as in the movies... can anyone help me on that one?

totally agree with you, this thread is like a "Trying to sell the bear skin before even killing it" but notheless i am interested in the point of views of people on this "what if" scenario.... plus in all honesty, i would hate to see the other kit makers get no business "just because" a guy named simon is lucky enough to have an original... unless this turns out to be the greatest TK-TD fakery of all time....you can never tell some people are masters at this kind of stuff you know... well move along and discuss i guess...

Topic: will people drop other kit poducers if the simon suit comes out? discuss....

i have checked both my wallmart and they have crappy stuff, they have a good looking 1 inch wide elastic band but it is white...they also have a not so good looking black elastic band. as they say when you are looking for something you never can find it....

thanks Guys, hopefully i can fidn the stuff locally, i did not have any luck so far though...as last resort i ll do the ebay thing i guess... what sizes should i expect to have to get for the armor.... but if you have more suggestions please post them... cheers...

I absolutely love that black color in the helmet. it makes it look like an actual helmet instead of a prop replica....now you are giving me an envy to pain the insides black....grrrrrrrr

at one point i was convinced.... Luckily enough i was too cheap to buy into his game, the after some research i found this great site and a great community to link with.

i ll have to wait until the snow is gone and the sun is really shining...it is going away but it is gonna be a good month before i am able to go outside and try to do some tests... wish i had a garage now!

What could I use to age the paint look? I want to try to replicate an helmet like on star wars helmet.com. I want the helmet color to be an off white color. I got some Krylon semi white gloss and per Mike’s recommendations but it ends up being pure white and I am looking for a light cream color for the helmet. I did some research and I ended up looking into a krylon paint named ivory and another dover white.. ----- I wonder if anyone has ever tried this? I also see that Bobamaker has done the yellowing a different way… -----= anyone got any tips?
