  1. Thanks guys I want to make it as accurate as possible. I left the return edge on my chest piece...should I get rid of it? From what reference shots of rotj I have seen it is difficult to tell if there is one or not.
  2. Painted the recently discovered black onto my ears What I did is just brought up the texture file life size on my screen, traced it onto a piece of paper, then used it as a template to mark out the black.

  4. My opinion is I think the drop boxes should be grey. They are clearly seen in the unfolded texture files. Also with the black stripe on the helmet, it looks like you are totally correct with the vertical stripe towards the rear of the ear... You do have to look hard too see it though I'm about to paint on the black of my ears
  5. i guess I'll go paint the black on the ears now
  6. don't forget the 5 ab buttons instead of 4 seen here and in lots of other shots
  7. i just used humbrol no 5, same as the frown
  8. EVERYTHING IS DONE here is how my ab plate is at now. Sides extended and 5th ab button put on. will hopefully get some photos in full kit in the next few days
  9. look at a foam and rubber shop, that's where I got mine from
  10. don't forget my build thread -----------
  11. sorry to go OT, but I love how that guys suit in your 'action figure' reference looks just like an action figure ok now, back to topic
  12. gday mate, yes, it is only the game version for EIB now. I just finished converting my TKC to the game reference, and you have said everything that is required AS for the butt/kidney, they do have to be joined together. So you'll have to combine them on your AM kit. Go the commanders!
  13. Quick update going to sculpt on the 5th ab button today. have already extended the ab plate and secured all my door trim Will most likely have photos of the ab plate and stuff today, will try to get some shots of me fully suited up tomorrow or later today
  14. Looks awesome, but 1st of all, all the ab buttons need to be black. Also My personal opinion is that you need more weathering (black acrylic wash). When you think about it, If the paint is that beaten up, it would most definitely have been in a few battles, and battles are dirty! I also think there is a little too much paint chipping on the helmet, sort of takes away from the design... but once again thats just my $0.02
  15. Looks a heap better. Maybe a bit more weathering (dirt) would really make it pop after all an inc is always near fire... Got to get a bit of charcoal on him lol.
  16. for the vocoder, remove the paint so it looks more like this (rough edit in photoshop, but you get the idea) sean
  17. thanks guys! when I get some spare plastic, I'm going to put on the extra Ab-button as seen in my reference pics. Also going to "extend" the ab plate sides by adding on extra plastic and filling the seam with plastibond, going to look good That should finish it off
  18. Well to get EIB, I have had to go game reference, which means I have to ROTJ'ify my armour. So here's what I've done so far. Rotate Ab Plate Drop Boxes Closed in at back Rounded Should Bells Trimmed most parts up, just waiting on some plastic from MM before I can fully trim the ab Piece.
  19. HAHAHAHAHA, awesome vid mate
  20. hahahahahha, pure gold but highway robbery if he gets anything near that price for it lol
  21. agreed, take some sandpaper to that bad boy. Looks great though!
  22. I'd be happy for you guys to use mine Just have to make it ROTJ style which shouldn't be too much longer now... only a few more things to do
  23. Deos this mean the kidney/butt plate has to be split? with the door trim on it? also what do you mean my an E-11 with an extended stock, could you give me further explanation, a couple of photos would be nice too another question is for the shoulder straps, can they be as per ANH/ESB or do they have to be ROTJ too. The reason is that in the crl for INC it says that it can be ANH/ESB, so I thought it might be the same. Sean
  24. thanks mate, To get the grimy look its just a black acrylic wash, dabbed on with a rag and dabbed off straight away with another rag for the lighter areas, and just didnt dab off as much for the darker areas (hope that makes sense) After painting on the blue, I sanded down the entire armour to give it a matte finish... then the weathering was applied. My battle damage was just done with different grade sandpapers, whereas I think rick used a bit of masking fluid to get paint chips on his. Sean
