  1. I just acquired a GF - 2002 should be here next week. I'll need to tweak the fitting and add a holster but here it is (the sellers picture).. Can't wait!!!! Kris
  2. Smitty is right. Get a really fine 00 to 0000 lining brush from a hobby store and come at the openings from the inside with black or gray. If you paint from the inside you are less likely to bleed over onto the decal. I'd use a model acrylic (like Polyscale) and keep a slightly damp paper towel or q-tip handy to "erase" any that bleeds onto the decal. Kris
  3. Being the family that troops together, see my TC-6249 intro thread, I don't usually have a problem. Building troopables for 4 can get tough and occasionally my wife say "Hey you know you spending the college fund?" followed by my daughter "That's OK Mom I'll get a scholarship..." and my son "College what's college?"
  4. My guess is your right. this way it stays a "hobby" and we all have some sense of craft or art (as well as time and money invested) or pride in our suits and turn out a great inexpensive LF publicity machine. It wouldn't be as much fun if you could go to walmart's men's department and pick up a TK, even a nice one. Also if LF licensed a good set of armor we all could afford then LF would be responsible for turning 4000 501st members out on the streets with nothing to do but drink and cause trouble. The current setup keeps us off the streets and in our basements, shops and garages most of the time. edit: also I'm on a clone forum where some of the artists are very concerned about their work falling in the wrong hands. 501st access only helps them guard against parts and armor being bought by re-casters.
