Hi Daniele, I find it a pity that you have not read this thread clearly i did state at the the begining of this thread that i have my CA boots on the manaquin at the MOMENT , and i have also mentioned halfway through this thread that i was waiting for my more screen acurate boots which are loakes boots not the origanls but they are the next best thing i think is very difficult to get the origanal boots because the supplier here in the UK went out of business years ago , as Billy (Bilhag) has said . I have now completed my boots cheack out the thread under ANH , iam not out to attak you Daniele i just wish some people would read the threads closley before passing judgment.

Hi Pete cheers mate for your kind words , i think the hardest part for me was not over doing the weathering or makeing it look to fake, i know in the film they are well batterd and paint flaking of them, but i wanted to get the amount of weathering as per the armour, and why i did not ask stuka the stormtrooper doctor about the bonding to the leather , i guess to excited in the moment to get painting as they did in 1977 , i will use the acetone on my next pair Pete never have anouth boots, well girls have there shoes .

Hi Ryan thanks for your kind comments mate , sadley i did not take any before pics but they were plain old black did not bother with any prep work like roughing the surface up just cleaned them in soapy water and left them to dry, i paid £15 for them and they were used ,for all the better in my eyes

Hi Terry thanks for your kind comments, not sure about how the paint will hold up but yes you are right i want them to be preety much screen used so the more paint chipping of the better, not sure about if the loakes where the original suppliiers iam sure Paul TM , Pete (stukatrooper), Mark ( firebladejedi) can let us know

Managed to find time today to weather up my Loake boots that i purchesed of ebay , all i did was clean the boots with soapy water let them dry out , and then i used white plasticote spray paint did about 3 coates then once the paint was dry started weathring all i used was pastals 1 black 1 grey and 1 white , then the last thing i did was paint the soales gloss black, iam delighted with the end result, i have to thank Paul TM for the tips , now i can put these with the TM ANH weatherd armour .Below a few pics please let me know what you think.

Hi Jim , I was like that at first thinking oh my god i dont want to mess this up , but if you follow Peter ( stukatroopers) TM tutorial you will be ok and just keep asking here and iam sure we will be able to help , any hows good luck with the build and lots of pics
