  1. Well, at least you're stopping by when most needed. Hope your machines are feeling better. I bet you spoil them! Supremely nice offer of you to lend and make the scope parts for Vern.
  2. Indeed. The knee belt should be positioned correctly as well and the ab plate buttons painted in a lighter shade of blue. Drop box straps of elastic. Biceps could come down a little. TD belt clips positioned closer to the end caps. But all that is not relevant to EIB of course.
  3. Cheers Michel. I was hoping you'd find this thread.
  4. It's not supposed to come open. That's the point.
  5. Excellent! I think it's safe to say that you've earned the badge now. Good work.
  6. "Not easy" isn't the best way to describe it though. I see it more as "doing it right". It serves to create a unified look close to what's on screen, and at the same time implement a tested and proven assembly method that stands up to the rigors of trooping with little to no risk of accidents where things come undone or break and spoil the illusion. If it's easy or hard depends on the person. But what matters to me is the will to work on getting it right. There is also the perceived value, that makes us proud to be centurion, and that is very important. For without pride, there is not much to motivate the effort. And without that, we might as well start wearing FX buckets again. So to care for these soft values, an "aura" of exclusivity needs to exist to keep it attractive. And if I was to approve anyone that asked without a little bit of a challenge, then it devalues the brand and the whole program. And that is not fair to those that have worked really hard on their kits. Nor would the next guy or girl have as much motivation to improve if there is nothing to gain.
  7. Update photos on the changed parts are good enough. But I won't complain if you suit up either. Well, if that's as small as they get, then that's fine!
  8. Thanks. I don't want to hurt any feelings, but I also want to be honest. Centurion means some sacrifices, just like SWAT at MEPD means giving up personal preference with the weathering and pouch configuration. With that comes giving up some liberties with how things are done. Shins are supposed to be open in the back, or you wouldn't be able to get your foot through. Thighs and arms are not. They are supposed to be glued shut on all sides. I would also recommend raising the thighs to get a minimal gap between the thigh tops and the ab plate, as well as maybe narrowing your bicep pieces for a more sleek and tailored look. Like I said in my first post, most of the armour looks pretty good, but the velcro gaps kind of ruins the overall look. In particular on the arms.
  9. It wasn't directed at you Keith. I was ranting in general because I feel frustrated with how people seem to only want the award without the effort. Sorry if you took it personally, it wasn't meant as that.
  10. Congratulations to you! I'll see to it that is gets fixed.
  11. Yeah I remember that. I tried to find it yesterday without luck. It's the rear sight of a target shooting pistol.
  12. Tyler has explained it very well. I can only confirm that it is indeed the case.
  13. I absolutely think you should glue the arms and legs. This is centurion. Not kindergarden. If this program is supposed to be able to mean anything in terms of valor and "additional mile" it is key that people actually go the extra mile, or the whole centurion program becomes worthless. You want to look as good as possible right? Or why have you applied if that's not the reason, more brass to show for on the forums? Yes, there is no requirement that you must, but you should.
  14. I'll spend more time reviewing this later in the weekend, as I have other plans than to sit by my computer. I would say though that the overlap/velcro assembly on your arms and legs doesn't look good at all. I think you'd look at least twice as good by having them permanently closed. The rest of the suit looks pretty good though.
  15. He has the body suit confused with another maker. http://www.extremeracing.co.uk/Stormtrooper/Stormtrooper/prod_10.html
  16. Much better. Now I just need to see your blaster.
  17. It's not actually. The company behind these undersuits is Extreme Racing.
  18. It's not a screen used DLT in the pictures above, it's a replica. So yes, it might very well be sabrefreak T-tracks on it. ---------------
  19. A 4x20 scope eye piece is smaller than that what is on the ROTJ blaster. Maybe more like a 4x32 scope. Now read my previous post again.
  20. I'm positively certain you wont find a 4x20 scope that looks like the ROTJ scope. Like the "parts of star wars" website says on the scope: http://www.partsofsw.com/e11rotj.htm It's a mash up. I'm not trying to bash you and say you can't do it, I'm just trying to point you in the right direction. A good ROTJ blaster kit is badly needed and I'd love to see it come to frution as soon as possible. With that said, i don't want you chasing false leads and waste time on that.
  21. Of course. It's our own page.... It varies a lot on the real parts. Sometimes it's 45 degree cuts, sometimes it's 90 degrees, and sometimes something in between. I play it safe and cut all at 45 degrees.
