  1. Well, there has been original helmets in private hands of people who visits this forum several times, so I'm sure it is know, but maybe not "public". RS's helmet is stripped of all paint though, so for their estimations we can only go by what Simon remembers from before.
  2. I'm not sure why pandatroopers stencils are pinned. I might be going off on a limb, but he could have pinned them himself since he used to be staff. As for as I know there isn't any proof of any correct size of the stripes, only what has been determined to look the best. Maybe JoeR could measure his (original) ROTJ tube stripes. They may be decals, but the overall size should be about the same.
  3. There you go! Nice work
  4. Hehe, yes you did. Good thing you caught it yourself though.
  5. I'd say the hengstler would be weathered in a similar amount as the other bits. The ones used in the movie had a metal box around the rear end, but the front half has always been plastic. Some hengstlers have a golden/brassy metal and some were just grey-ish metal, like tin. It's unknown which kind was used. Probably both kinds.
  6. Since 13/16th more or less equates to 20 mm I'd say they are a little too big. Had I paid more attention to your build I might have caught that earlier.
  7. Beautiful work!
  8. Mine are 16 mm wide. Although groundless as far as proof goes, they look pretty good.
  9. The reserve pilot never existed as anything more than a card in the SW card game. Yet it is an approved costume even when it is more or less identical to imperial crewman.
  10. Yeah, sometimes you just have to step back and look at it a second time. And that's what we're here for, to be that second set of eyes.
  11. Yeah, no kidding. Nice poster btw. Looks almost like something out of Fallout.

  14. Ears and tears look great but I'd consider remaking the tube stripes if I were you. Frown looks like a mix of hero and stunt than pure hero but I'm sure some helmet had that look too. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4
  15. Pretty much anything can be sprayed through an airbrush as long as you thin it enough.
  16. They do not transfer. The awards are personal.
  17. I think it looks great! (The rotated bicep is a result of accurate strapping. It tends to do that when it's not strapped together with the bell). You might want to move the TD clips more to the sides and you'll need a charging handle on the blaster before you go centurion though.
  18. I would slim the circle part of the ear. Too fat even compared to the fattest of rwal helmets. Replicas often get that wrong because people are scared of messing up. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4
  19. Since the opening will be hidden by the end cap you can't tell the difference.
  20. That easily happens when you have too much return edge. Remove some of it and then re-enforce from behind to stop it from spreading.
  21. It will do fine for centurion.
  22. I got mine from Karin/Sonnenschein. Look her up on facebook. She's in Austria and I'm sure she's happy to sell you one cheap. Postage takes around 3 weeks though since they move it all by truck. Wire thickness is around 3 mm I would guess. Very stiff.
  23. He got "permission" after the fact he had already done it without telling TE2. TE2 is now so tired of getting recast he gave up the fight. Not that MTK did very much to prove he had either permission or the origins of his bucks when he was called out on it.
  24. Doesn't change the fact that he recast without permission. There's a reason why he's not allowed to sell here.
  25. The way I did my end cap ring was to bend it open into like a J shape and stick the straight part through the hole and bend it back to the original shape. The opening of the ring will be on the outside.
