pandatrooper[TK] Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Just out of curiosity, how is a TD sniper knee installed? All I see is the diamond itself, just wondering how it attaches to the shin. Thanks! Quote
sskunky Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 From what I've seen it's just riveted through the front of the plate. The rivet then painted white. Quote
GosHawk[501st] Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 All I did was cut out a dimond shaped backing, used a rivit to attach I to the knee then glued the actual plate to the backing and filled in the gaps with caulk. That way it looks clean and you don't see a rivit in the middle. Hope that help. Quote

pandatrooper[TK] Posted February 4, 2010 Author Report Posted February 4, 2010 Awesome, that's exactly what i was looking for. Thanks everyone! As an asides, what's with the "cheese grater" hand plates for Sandys? I don't recall seeing those in the films, are they canon? Quote

There was like 1 dude that had them... maybe more. But they are canon. The cheese, however, is not. Quote
RogueTrooper[TK] Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 "cheese grater" hand plates are all over Tatooine in ANH, here is some pix: Quote
FIVE[501st] Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Like I said, maybe more... but, still... no cheese. Quote

You can mount it directly but depending on your setup the thigh and sniper plate may interfere, hence putting the buffer on there. Daetrin[Admin] Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 It's a personal preference. Some dig it, others not so much. Personally I'm not too keen on them. Quote
