ok, so i was browing the good old 'bay and i found a cheap blaster for sale, located in Canada. I messaged the chap selling it asking for shipping cost to mainland UK.

he quoted me $40 surface and $80 airmail!

i was just like "omg"

is this accurate in the slightest? heck my armour cost like $50 airmail form the US of A.

any insight on this please?

IMO, it's a shame how much people ask for shipping. May it be from US or Canada, people tend to try to get a few more bucks out of your pockets by overcharging the shipping. I am in Canada and it costs really not much to ship oversea or to the US .. I could even go to my post office and ask for you, if you want, lmk the weight and destination, I'll lyk! PM if you want!

I think you can see honest people by the price they charge for shipping. I was sent speakers from another tk here, and the shipping was the same as the us, which is pretty normal .. that's service my friend! :))

the auction ends today and i have no idea how much a hasbro toy blaster weighs :(

i messaged him back asking if the quote was accurate (which it clearly isnt)

im never going to get my hands on a cheap blaster at this rate! super seriously considering making my own.

the guy emailed back, he said the blaster was 0.8kg, dimensions 54cm x 21cm x 17cm. is this correct?

the postal service he is using-------------

i tried myself, and it does show up as $40 and $80 =S

what gives?

Amazon.com and hasbro.com both have them in stock for $20. I could see charging $10 shipping to the UK, but $40 is just a ripoff.

I don't believe this is accurate at all...Global priority mail from California to the UK doesn't break $20.00 unless the parcel weighs 10+ pounds

I don't think its worth it  you should have it sent to someone in the US and then have them mail it out to you...It will probably be cheaper
