TK-2241
Well, I just started on my cheek vents - whew! I only used an exacto knife, and while it basically did the job, I think I want to use a dremmel for the rest. I have an idea on this that I'm going to try: Cut out the vents with what ever method (I'm super, super, picky about how they look), get another set of the decals, remove the old ones after cutting the slots, cut the black part out of the new decals leaving a small black rectange edge all the way around, and the apply the new decals. That way you can be imperfect on the actual cheek holes, but the nicely cut decals will make a nice edge. So, I'm off to complete and find someone selling a set of decals. TK 3840
Anyone ever done these mods on a MRCE helmet? I was thinking of cutting out the cheeks and pointing the fans out to help defog my helmet. I've yet to have serious issues with the MRCE being too hot but it doesn't take long to be almost blind from fogging <_<
TK-743[501st]
Great work, that turned out nice and is a good idea, might consider doing that myself.
Blaze
Anyone thought of machining some sort of metal stamp with knives that would cut out the vent lines automagically? People could rent it or send in their helmets to have the mod done.
