Sgt JB
ok, looking for opinions, should I stop here? or does it look like I need to take a little more off the eye holes? Thanks in advance for the input. Also, what do you think of the teeth? I'm really happy with them, but any constructive criticism is always welcome. TK5144[TK]
I am no expert. I think I took a little more off the eyes. I remember looking from the INSIDE of the face, there was a ridge/line I used this as the guide to cut to. It was hard to see a natural break from the outside of the faceplate. pics of mine are http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?show...amp;#entry95739 see all the pics http://photobucket.com/hwkjeep I think I squared off my teeth a little more, the front space to the right of the midline in the front looks fairly round. I don't know which is more accurate. Derek
Sgt JB
Very helpful Derek, I took your front view and put it next to mine, and it looks like I got a few cm's left to go especially on the right. that's a nice looking helm you got there. I think I'm gonna leave the teeth as is I think, but the eyes def need a little more trimming. Thanks again for your input.

Teeth-wise the same nice square gaps that were filed with fine files.... but many of the best looking helmets have both squared or rounded but remember "its your helmet" so how ever u go it will be perfect!!!!!! Looks Awesome so far!!!!
Sgt JB
yea, I like the rounded look to the teeth, so they're staying. I can see a very faint crease line in the right eye, got a few more cm's to go on that one. but I think it's comming out OK for my first helmet ever. Surely not even a cm is needed. I agree with the above, make it yours... all of them from the movie probably had little nuances, differences, etc. Thanks for the compliments, this was also my first real helmet build (other than the FX, followed by the MRCE mod) I am actually still tinkering with the MRCE mod, trying to get it just right. My ATA is still sitting with white paint only. I am a little nervous about starting the paint and detail work. What neck trim are you going to use for your ATA? I test fit the supplied stuff and was not happy with the result. Derek
synaptyx
I like the deep socketed look, so have left mine a little deep.
firebladejedi[TK]
Trimming eyes is a personal thing. Some like the flashing present on some of the lids from ANH and some like to make the eyes more open. Go with what you feel you like best, but remember to take it off slowly, once its gone, its gone.. Here is how i trimmed mine, pretty open

Sgt JB
Dude, I somehow nicked the dome on something while the primer was wet then didn't notice till I was half way through the first coat of gloss. so now it's gotta dry for like 48 hours before I can sand it smooth and get back at it. PM me if you're going for sabre training tomorrow.
