CollinB005 Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Hey everybody, my name is Collin I’m an approved member of the 501st Southern California Garrison as an Imperial Scanning Crew. I am completely new and foreign to TKs/Stormtroopers so I decided to sign up on this forum to introduce myself, and hopefully scrape up some information. I have always loved TKs and decide that I want to pursue it even if it takes a long time because I’ve learned the value of patience. For a random and particular reason that is completely for fun, I decided I want to pursue the ESB version of a Stormtrooper as it’s more unique but still similar to the classic ANH stormtrooper. I’ve been looking at vendors and I found one called RWA creations, as well as been told to take a look at Dave’s dark depot. RWA has a pretty good price because I will eventually get the kit unbuild and commission someone around my area to build it for me. The only problem is I’m kind of a bigger guy, for reference I’m 6ft and 250 pounds. I’d be happy to hear on some opinions of vendors for a bigger person such as myself. I’m really happy to be here and I’m excited to hear from you fellow Stormtroopers 😊. Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Hi Collin and welcome to FISD. I'll share some links for you. These are the best places on the forums to get you underway with some research which is key to our hobby. There are certainly some armour makers that have kits to suit your size, but ultimately with hard armour we all generally need to make some modifications for the armour to fit us best and meet the criteria for approval. This one below is your best starting point. Plenty of information on who and where to acquire kit from. There are loads of useful info across the whole Getting started section of the forum so spend some good and informative time looking through the section. Armour for bigger troopers. Next up is build threads. Always great to look through and see how others have assembled their kit, made modifications to suit their size etc. This is a dedicated section for ESB https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/7-esb-stormtrooper/ Also, this is a one-stop kinda shop for everything you need for ANH TK most of which is the same for the ESB. It's a complete collective of links to many important posts and sub forums, and will answer many of your questions. We are all here to get you on your new exciting journey to become a TK, so if you ever have a question, please ask away. Quote

At 6' and 250 lbs, I'd definitely look for a kit that's known to fit larger troopers rather than trying to make a smaller one work. It'll save you a lot of headaches during the build. Good luck with the ESB project! Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Will be great to see more ESB TK's out there. :) Quote
