Aname Posted May 19 Report Posted May 19 (edited) I mentioned in my introduction post that I came for the tutorials. One of the things I'm interested in is actually making the armor myself, so I'm wondering what tools would make that possible? Because as fun as just doing this for myself could be, I wouldn't mind also being able to help people get their own armor, and possibly other props as well. You may find your local garrison has build days, members come together to work on their own and others armor. You could also become an attaché (once approved) info is in a 501st only area. 1 Quote

When I said that want to "make it", I actually meant basically from the ground up. I did find TK560 betwen that first post and this one, and that seems to have a fair bit of what I'm looking for. Anyway, thanks for the answers. It's very much appreciated Quote
themaninthesuitcase[Admin] Posted May 20 Report Posted May 20 From the ground up? You'd want a vacuum former, and the bucks. Both of which are a bit above most peoples experience on here. There's more art than science to it and it takes a significant amount of time effort and money which is why most buy a kit rather than build from nothing. That said if no one did try, then we'd not have a kit to build in the 1st place. Good Luke with your project! 1 Quote

Maybe not mass-scale production, but I'd love to be able to help people get their own armor kits, white or otherwise. It just sounds fun to me. Quote
