Working on AP towards Elite standards.

Hello everyone,

 

I've been reading all over that FX and Rubies and whatnot have a lot needing to be done to them until they are elite ready. However, is there anything specific that needs to be done for AP armor? Or should someone be able to simply read and follow the directions and be good to go? Besides CAboots, gloves, holester, underarmor... what else is needed to meet the requirements out of the box?

You need to separate the butt piece and get some more screen accurate speakers. And better lenses.

LCM is correct, cut the butt plate and replace the aerators on the helmet and you should be good to go on the armor/helmet part.

I've got a pair of lenses already, and I'm written down for a pair of speaker hovies, so that's good. Is there a tutorial for the buttplate?

Buttplate cut is on my thread build. Simply cut across, and use 3 or 4 pieces of black elastic to reattach it - Iused Araldire epoxy, but cyanoacrylate will work too.

there is a line on the back where you should cut it. dont forget canvas or canvas covered belt. i dont know if that comes with the ap armor or not.

My AP came with an elastic belt, so I sewed my own using white canvas.
