spyder918 Posted May 6, 2022 Report Posted May 6, 2022 A vendor on here used to sell these 3M Speedglas headbands for inside the helmets. Anyone know if he still sells them? I wasn't able to find him. Didn't know these headbands are so hard to find now. They look like this - https://www.aftfasteners.com/products/3m-speedglas-welding-helmet-headbands-and-mounting-hardware-5-1-2-x-12-plastic-1-ea.html Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted May 6, 2022 Report Posted May 6, 2022 Trooperbay has a headliner on his site, may not be exactly the same https://trooperbay.com/hard-hat-liner-for-helmets I tried a head liner once and found it too too rigid, I much prefer just a maple leaf of foam for the top and a could of thick pieces either side of the temple Trooperbay has those also but looks a bit thick to me, mine on the top is only 10mm thick https://trooperbay.com/yellow-foam-helmet-liner-and-straps Quote
revlimiter[Staff] Posted May 6, 2022 Report Posted May 6, 2022 It's possible that old 3M hardhat was retired in favor of a new model. If a new welding bucket came out, they'd have new headbands for it. https://www.amazon.com/3M-Speedglas-Headband-Mounting-05-0655-00/dp/B00E83BLKI/ This one looks very similar. Wouldn't it fit in a helmet? Quote
