I recall in one of the versions the segment lengths could be changed in the config menu on the fly, didvyou try that?

yes, there was a problem

 

If anyone else has such a problem, just turn on the blaster > while it is still in standby mode, hold down the main button for a moment > navigate in the menu up to the barrel length > increase it with single clicks and that's it
