TK-7980 Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 What grit sandpaper should I use to sand down helmets and whatnot to prime them for painting? Quote
cr4nky Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 I went with 240, then 320 and finally wetsanding with 600 grit. Quote

TK-7980 Posted September 2, 2008 Author Report Posted September 2, 2008 I went to the hardware store the other day and found types like coarse, fine etc etc. Do the sandpapers you're talking about come in a specific grain? Quote
SuperTrooper Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 Go to auto supply stores, or check in the auto section of a department store. It'll be there. Quote
TK-7980 Posted September 2, 2008 Author Report Posted September 2, 2008 Yeah I know, but I mean 220 fine or 220 coarse etc? Quote
TK8776 jgarrettg Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 400, 600 and 800 wet / dry paper is all very fine. It's usually dark gray in color. Quote
