I've been looking through the Elite status requests at some of the photos of the thermal detonators. And it seems that they are being painted in two ways. Sometimes they are silver sometimes they are grey. I was wondering is there a right or wrong way or are both acceptable...see below... tkrestonva[TK] Posted August 8, 2008 Report Share Posted August 8, 2008 If you look at the actual screen shots, all the thermal detonators are gray. The silver strips are an FX armor thing. Having said that, I don't think there's anything in the Elite standards that dictates one over the other. However, it's good practice to go with as screen-accurate as you can make it. Like was said above, the silver strips are an FX thing. i never used the silver strips on my FX, and dont even have those for my AP.
