Poseidon[501st] Posted October 6, 2017 Report Posted October 6, 2017 I am currently working on a TM ANH Hero build, and I am about to start strapping everything together. The only problem is, I don't know what to use. I plan on using snap plates, with snaps on my straps, but I don't know if I should be using black elastic or black nylon. The only thing I can find definitively is gluing black elastic into the shoulder bells. Otherwise, I am unsure where to use what. This is my first kit, so if it boils down to personal preference then I have no experience. I have searched the archives, but I haven't found anything concrete. Also, any tips on using or placement of snap plates before I place them? I am using E6000 so I can correct mistakes as necessary. Anyone want to help me out? Quote
Triple D[TK] Posted October 6, 2017 Report Posted October 6, 2017 I used elastic strapping for all of mine. I just seems to work better for when your moving around. Check this out for the snap plate placement - Quote
Poseidon[501st] Posted October 6, 2017 Author Report Posted October 6, 2017 Cool beans, this is the diagram I was planning on using. There weren't real measurements for the snap plates, so I was going to eye ball it. I reckon about 1.5 inches away from the return edge should give me enough play. Does that sound right to you? Quote
Triple D[TK] Posted October 6, 2017 Report Posted October 6, 2017 Yes that is what most do. The biceps/shoulder bells were the only one that you fit first to see where they will sit before placing the snap plates. Quote
CableGuy[TK] Posted October 7, 2017 Report Posted October 7, 2017 Hiya. I’ve gone down the popper route, using white nylon webbing for the shoulder connection (chest to back) and black elastic for the rest. Depending on your method, the nylon shoulder strapping holds the whole arm, so strong nylon works well. :-)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

I’d test fit the parts before gluing the popper tabs. For example, the ab to chest can vary significantly depending on your height. I had to adjust my shoulder to bicep popper placement too. As you said, eye ball the parts before gluing. :-)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
