Ever feel like it’s one of those months where so much is going on that it’s hard to keep your head straight? The transition from summer to autumn is a busy one, especially for those of us with kids.  If you thought FISD would pause while the staff got adjusted to the new schedule, think again.  We’ve been busy!  On what might you ask?
Just a few simple things:

1. Getting the Rogue One CRL to *done*
2. Getting the The Last Jedi TK CRL to *done*
3. Getting the The Last Jedi Executioner CRL to *done*

These should be released any day.  Huge, huge thanks go to Glen (TK-85421 | gmrhodes13), Kit (TK-44840 | kitgutierrez), Jim (TK-82480 | jimmiroquai), and Reese (_Par)  who were instrumental in getting the photos and text sorted out.  The CRLs would still be languishing if it weren't for their combined efforts.  Many other members contributed thoughts and ideas on the R1 over many months to get it where it is today.

Glen & Kit are the first two The Last Jedi - Executioner applicants in the Legion and are ready for speedy approval. Please join me in congratulating them both as it's not every day you can say you were the first in a costume category. Huzzah!

What does it take to make a Last Jedi stormtrooper?  Come on by FISD and found out - it's not that much different from the regular First Order TK, and a great variation for holders of that costume just like going ANH Hero, ESB, or HWT is for ANH Stunt troopers.

Having the Rogue One TK CRL complete also will make it easier for MEPD to complete the Jeddha Trooper "deployed" version of this costume as well.

In addition we have new merch that is about to be launched.  Coins for certain, but also an FISD "1st Millennium" special SWAG for exclusively for the first 1000 Expert Infantry stormtroopers in the Legion.  It will be amazing, that's all I can say.

There is still more to come in October, but for now I think that's quite a bit.  Before I sign off, special recognition must go to our tireless webmaster Mathias (Locitus), who rescued the forums from upgrade disarray and got us back on our feet. The next drink is on us Mathias!

Happy trooping, and here's to a great run-up in advance of the soon to be released Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.

With unquestioned loyalty,

Are you an approved TK that spends more time on the boards than the average Trooper?  Do you enjoy using your knowledge to help out future and existing Troopers?  If so, we would like to invite you to join the Imperial Attache program!

Members of the I.A. team are chosen to help out not only those here on the boards, but on a local level as well.  Our aim is to have at least one in each and every Garrison, Squad and Outpost in the entire legion to be the eyes and ears of the FISD on a local level.

A suggested level of EIB or above is preferred, as part of the duties include assisting those aiming for levels 2 and 3, but is not a requirement.  Being active on the boards on a regular basis and helping out where you can is, though.

Some of the benefits:

1.  Access to exclusive Attache merch., including patches, etc.

2.  Having the Imperial Attache title under your name.

3.  Being a part of the team that welcomes new and prospective members of the FISD.

4.  Being the "go-to" person in your Garrison, Squad or Outpost.

5.  Exclusive access to the Attache HQ area, Imperial Propaganda Machine (newsletter) and merchandise discussions.

We are currently in need of Attaches in many units, especially International Garrisons/Squads and Outposts.  For more information on this program, please check out the link below**, and if you should have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at any time.

You might have heard about the biggest catastrophe this year. I'm not talking about hurricane Irma, I mean the Photobucket disaster of 2017! :56pullhair:

For those who do not know what I'm talking about... I mean this:

A lot of important build threads and tutorials have been destroyed. One of the most important victims was our famous E-11 Blaster Reference.
This Super-Thread is critical to any blaster builder because it provides all the information you need to build a good looking detailed E-11.
It's the main source of information to improve your blaster build.
To save the thread and make it usable again, I managed to restore all the lost images.
Now witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational battle station Blaster Reference!

Imperial Attaché Outstanding Achievement awards

On behalf of the FISD, It is my pleasure to announce the following 2 Troopers/Imperial Attaches as recipients of the Imperial Attache Outstanding Achievement award/ribbon.  This honor is given only to those in the I.A. program who go above and beyond the "call of duty" as members of this team, and exemplify the true nature of the FISD by helping others with their knowledge and welcoming spirit.  These badges will be proudly displayed below their names.

If one of these members is in your unit, please take a moment to congratulate them on this achievement.

kman (Kalani)- SoCal Garrison- A member since January of 2016, Kalani has consistently been an exemplary team member of the I.A. program, and has gone above and beyond in all aspects of the position, especially in the area of welcoming new folks.

Novak Dimon (Christian)- German Garrison-   As a member of our German Garrison, Christian has reached out to members of the FISD worldwide and used his knowledge to  help them on their white-armor journey.

My bucket is off to you, gentlemen, and keep up the fantastic job! :smiley-sw013:

2017 EIB "March to 1000" Campaign

As many of you are aware, the FISD is currently in our March to 1000 program.  Our aim is to reach the one thousand mark of Troopers who have earned their Expert Infantry Badge, and although we are well on our way to this goal, we still have a long way to go!  The amount of approved submissions is increasing (almost 90 this year alone) thanks to the dedication of those willing to go the "extra mile" toward screen accuracy.

Did you know: as an incentive to hit this milestone, and as a way of recognizing the first millennium of FISD Expert Infantryman, we have some soon to be revealed merchandise that will only be available for a limited time to the first 1000 EI.  So, if you are thinking about going EI, now is the time to do so.

Here is a brief description of EIB as written by Paul (Daetrin), our founder:

"Expert Infantryman status is not required for members of this detachment. It should be viewed as an optional set of requirements for those who wish to take the accuracy of their costumes to the next level, and be recognized accordingly. We're a costuming club - think of it as an award for costuming excellence and you get the picture.

The requirements will not replace or supersede 501st standards, but only serve as an inspiration for the level of accuracy that can be achieved. The standards are meant to be high but achievable..."

Besides the added pride you will have in your armor, those reaching this level can purchase exclusive EIB gear (patches, decals, etc.) and get a free certificate for your accomplishment.  If you are interested or would like more information about the program, there is a link below** that will help.  You can also contact myself or any Imperial Attaché, and we will be more than happy to assist you!
