Hi all!

Thought I'd start posting here about my progress on my build. I've done very little so far, but I'm hoping to amp up the momentum while the weather's nice out.

So far I have:
Full kit and helmet (Jimmi): initial wet sanding, washed down
Harness/Neckseal/gaskets (Geeky Pink)
Boots (ordered)

Obviously I still have a lot to acquire haha

Aaand just a pic to show the initial fit of the top pieces with my gaskets/neck seal!

Thanks for the support guys!

Did a little more today. Took a dremel and drilled out the eye holes on the bucket. Still have to do the pill boxes and such on the rest of the kit. Not sure if I want to drill out all the holes on the smile or if I want to find some kind of grill to put in instead.

Went through all my armor and circled areas I need to fill in from scratches, cracks, bubbles, etc

Also ordered my gloves :)

No pictures today. I went through and filled in the holes, scratches etc on the kit.

I also modified my gaskets so the elbow parts connected to the shoulder ones, since there isn't any space between them when I have them on separately.

Also went in and drilled out the pill boxes on the chest piece.

Looking good! Will be following this build :D What did you use to fill the holes, and what are your plans for painting? :)

I used apoxie sculpt to fill the holes!

I'm planning on using a mirror gloss backer and then an alclad spray over the top for the painting :)

Did some more work on her today!

With my lift boots (an extra five inches, I'm over 6' tall in them) the shin armor doesn't fit well enough that it covers any part of the boots. So today I cut some PVC board to add to the shin pieces. I also modified the shape a bit so it's more screen accurate. I also trimmed the calf pieces by about an inch on the bottom so I can pull them a little lower on my legs. I cut the thighs so I can add about 2", so I can pull them up higher on my legs as well. All of this to fit those dang kneecaps in!

Test fit without any adjustments to the shin armor

Continued progress modifying the shin armor...
Everything's glued in, apoxie sculpt added to fill in the cracks. Now I gotta sand it all down so that it transitions well between the two.

Eventually I'll have to dremel the seam back in on the inside of the thighs...
Thinking of possibly going the angel gilding method for her chrome? Doing some research on cost to see if I can afford it

I'll try to take better pics in the future
