But it´s one of the hardest to get right parts. 

 

Some days ago i was able to get this original in my sweaty hands:

 

 

 

Not much corrosion, i think i will not clean and bring it to a smooth condition - intend to keep it´s history, just some primer/black paint.

 

 

 

Some small corrosion holes on the top bracket that needs some work, but the most work will be to find the correct bolts to change the installed wrong ones:

 

 

 

And a new leather strap needs to be made.

You mean as it is?

 

That would make it a pure display piece in a glass cabinet, if i want to use it for a MG 15 build, it has at least to get some black paint.
