Holster smearing on armour and belt

I was looking through some EIB and Centurion requests and I keep noticing the TM holsters are leaving a black residue on the troopers' thigh armour and belts. Does this happen with all holsters? Is there a way to clean it off?

Yes you can clean it off. No, not all holsters smear as much as others. But you will get a lot of smudges on your armour over time. Best not to let it bother you or you will spend  alot of time cleaning your armour. Some dirt just makes you look combat hardened anyway.

I suppose it depends a lot on what the holster is made of. A dyed leather will leave marks if not properly buffed and finished, whereas a PU leather should not.

That's just natural weather! But I use 70% isopropyl alcohol on a cloth to clean stuff off the armor

Yeah - Happens on mine too.  You can also try Novus products.  I use this one that buffs and brings back shine:

I'd bought that for polishing armour and removing little scratches, etc. It removed some black holster marks off mine really easily, too.
