Ok, so I got the Aker MR1505 12w voice amp. I simply can't afford to buy one of the random static burst units, so I need to fake it :D
Searched the threads here a bit, to no avail, so what sort of sound is best?
I found a short, sharp "Kssht" was best.
Any ideas?

When using the amp and mic, I give a sharp blow to the mic with my breath... It works, and some have complimented me on sound effects lol. May also add a click in there using my tongue against the roof of mouth... Test it out, see what works for you... Trial and error.

Genius, that works perfectly! Thanks!

Lol... I've never seen that film, might have to look it up :)

.

As a side note, the Aker is a chunky little unit, isn't it? Much heavier than i'd imagined. Looks like the mic supplied will be easy enough to fix inside the helmet, too.

I'd honestly rather have no burst than to try and emulate it with my voice lol.

I hear ya.

If you can find the Disney stormtrooper voice changing mask it has a static burst, needs to be operated with a ptt button though...

if it works kick it, if it doesn't work kick it till it does...
