Boot Soles? And are these good?

I found some good priced chelseas with free shipping but a really weird sole. Would this effect my admission if I used these boots? I don't see anything about the other than "flat" sole in the CRL. EDIT: I mean sole colour or texture, does this count as flat?

Now that I'm looking closer the bottom of the elastic is too wide and round I think. Opinions?

The elastic doesn't look too bad its the trim piping around it that won;t fly. You can find similar boots with simple stitching like thesehttp://www.amazon.com/Bass-Mens-Amsterdam-Ankle-Boot/dp/B003TFEVN0 For a similar price.

Here's a second choice -------------

That is really wide piping isn't it. There's a good chance I may buy your boot #1 there gasmosis. Thank you.

I'm used to slick boots I used to wear Canadian dress combat boots all the time in cadets so that wouldn't bother me.

I am more than pleased with my Imperial boots, Fergus. Great customer service! As far as accuracy, mine were approved all the way to Centurion.
