Sgt Steve Posted August 27, 2009 Report Share Posted August 27, 2009 Joined CF Reserve in 81. Performed at both full-time and part-time as a Weapons Tech all over Canada and US till 90. Then remustered to MP as a Sgt from 90 till 02, Then from 03 till now full-time as an Instructor for weapon's and basic training, and from 07 till 08 as a recruiter but sustained an injury instructing, and because of this am now waiting for a med-release from service. I too was at Harmony Church in 87 going 11B could it be that we have crossed paths before? anyway, US Army 87-91 11B Basic, AIT, Jump school at Ft. Benning GA Staioned at FT.Polk LA Deployed to Panama in 89 for "Operation Just Cause" where I earned my CIB as a M-60 Gunner I was in Fort Benning two summers: 1987 : Harmony Church for basic during Jun-July (like May 25 to July 25 or so). 1988 : Sand Hill for infantry school, same months (I was split option). I was guideon I have the company/units in some photos at home and will post that. For Harmony Church I was in the barracks on the side of the road, opposite the PT field. Returned in 1989 at Sand Hill and finished AIT. 1990-1992 US Army Active. Went to Bamberg, Germany too the 1AD. Transfered active from Guard for Oper. Desert Sheild/Storm/Provide Comfort. 1992-1998 US Army Reserve- Forced into Reserve unit by the "Reduction in Forced Act" 1992. Currently, Jr Vice Commander of VFW Post 5127.
