SuperTrooper
Sounds like it's time for a repaint. But there is a bright side, look at the great painting tips and tutorials that have come out since you did it the first time 4 years ago. TK3118[501st]
so should i sand it down first or what would you guys suggest ?
drosch
I would use a 1200 grit or so and just knock the sheen off. Shiney is bad when you are painting. You need the rough surface for the paint to stick to.
sewbacca
Just finished my bucket, and a repaint would make your lid spanky new again. A little work but you'll be happy at the end. Use the TE build for reference. Great info and there is good info for the painting-----------This is the only option you have Edited February 17, 2021 by gmrhodes13 link not working, removed gmrhodes13 2021
dirtydave
A member at thepropden.com used formula 409 to clean off yellowing under the brow trim on his TE ESB glossy helmet. He said it worked. Is your helmet painted or glossy plastic.Hell it's worth a try, good luck.
