Idaho Jones[TK]
I cut my butt plate from the kidney and am upgrading to snaps from a full velcro rig that used suspenders. After test fitting, my back plate and kidney plate joint look's like this. Should I trim the bottom of the kidney plate so the back plate, kidney plate and butt plate don't overlap? I know the FX kit has short comings, I could use some advice before I proceed, thanks. You can also see the side gap filler I made from extra belt material. captsafe66[Admin]
I used black velcro strips to stiffen it up a bit, I used 2 small strips of loop on the armor and a wider strip of hook to hold it together. I wouldn't trim anything, it may leave gaps when you are wearing it.
Idaho Jones[TK]
I'm trying to get rid of velcro, Shouldn't there be a small gap between the back and kidney plate as mentioned in the CRL's?

A small gap, yes, but nothing more than a seam really.
Daetrin[Admin]
Yup, what BJ said. You can easily see it in screen caps, though some had more "seam" than others.
