Very tricky to use my method due to the curve. e6000 when cured is kind of like rubber cement, tough and rubbery, and easily sliced with a knife. I'd see if you can stick something sharp in there - a very fine needle-nose blade or something flexible enough to bend a bit - to slice the goo apart, and then pull the caps off as best you can.

 

You definitely won't damage the PVC... if you do crack an end cap just put it back on with the crack out of sight.

Try to get some goo gone between the pipe and cap with an eyedropper. Use a small amount and give it a little time, I had to remove one and thats how I did it. Worked like a charm!Make sure you clean the parts after doing this, Im not a fan of leaving the goo gone on any armor parts.

I use a mallet hammer to hit the caps all the way around, then I use it to hammer the edge.

it can work to remove caps that have some plastic to work with.
