Decided to have a go at my own screen accurate belt. Took inspiration from the RS propmaster belt thread. This is 3 layers of canvas 2 layers of interfacing and a satin inside face. The layers were all glued together using spray on fabric glue before stitching and overlocking. Quite pleased with the results. Seems to look quite like the original pictures.

Looks good. Did you actually use the canvas material? From the pictures that I have seen from the RS guys, the material looks a lot like a twill material. That's what I used when constructed belt.

Here's a pic of mine.

The material i used was sold as heavy cotton, but definetly has the same diagonal twill weave that yours has. I have used the natural coloured fabric and will whiten it with tennis shoe whitener

The fabric does seem to have a right and a wrong side. The diagonal weave is only visible on one side. The other side has a square pattern.

Hi Mark. Thanks for the comments. It does look long in the photo doesn't it. But I think that's just the iPhone lens. I actually copied the Velcro size from the very well made belt that I currently have and you know where that came from ;)
