bhestad25 Posted October 26, 2012 Report Posted October 26, 2012 I've been thinking about getting either a master replica or fx stormtrooper helmet. Which one is the most movie accurate and best quality? Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted October 26, 2012 Report Posted October 26, 2012 Neither. What's your budget, and which movie do you want it to look like? Quote
bhestad25 Posted October 26, 2012 Author Report Posted October 26, 2012 No budget. Just a good quality piece. Preferably ANH but if u have any info on ROTJ. That would be helpful too. Thanks Quote
Minuteman Posted October 26, 2012 Report Posted October 26, 2012 (edited) For what purpose? Do you want to join the 501st, or do you just want a nice and cheap replica for your living room? The eFX or MR CE ( they´re simply the same helmet from different makers) is a cheap helmet, does look good if you don´t know anything about costuming and especially stormtroopers. But it´s absolutely symmetrical ( the real helmets were not) and to be able to join the 501st you would need to do some mods on the helmet and imho it would be a lot easier to get yourself a quality helmet from one of the vetted makers right from the start. MisterFubar[TK] Posted October 26, 2012 Report Posted October 26, 2012 If you're just wanting something to throw up on the shelf and display, maybe occasionally wearing it to show your friends than I see no problem with either the MR or eFX. I actually prefer the symmetrical, idealized look of them and think they feel much more like an actual helmet and not a cheap prop... ...but, they aren't easily moddable to be 501st approvable, and anyone who knows what they are looking at will likely call you out and thumb thier nose at you. Pick up one from any of the vetted makers listed in the thread posted by Minuteman if you are wanting a wearable, easily approvable, screen accurate Helmet.
