kevnaminute Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 The can I have came with a cotton ball on a stick. Of course I can see myself saturating the armor using that.. What's the best method for the parts? Thanks! Quote
bigironvault Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 Why are you using ABS cement? Quote
snoopy trooper[TK] Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 ABS cement is for your sprinkler system and house pipes NOT to make a TK . Quote
kevnaminute Posted October 15, 2012 Author Report Posted October 15, 2012 Isn't that one of the glues????? Quote
FunkyTrigger[TK] Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 Hi Kev I take it that you are just starting out, and making your first armour build? My advice, and from plenty of others is for you to not use abs cement. Ā You are likely to make a build mistake. If you use abs cement it will be near impossible to unstick your joints to adjust them. Ā Our advice is for you to use e6000 glue. Ā E6000 is very strong and can also be undone. Ā Good luck with your build. Quote
bigironvault Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 I would suggest E6000 for anything related to TK building. Quote
kevnaminute Posted October 16, 2012 Author Report Posted October 16, 2012 Question: how do you butt join with e6000? So far I've had some difficulty...I tried joining half of my cover strip to half of my forearm and then joining them. Let cure for 24 hours but the parts just pried apart after I unclamped...my method worked for biceps but shins and forearms have slowed my progress... Quote
captsafe66[Admin] Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 What was the temperature when you cured it? If it was chilly, it may slow the cure time. You may try 48 hrs...couldn't hurt. Quote
