bjsavage7[TK]
I know the strapping under the shoulder bridges is white for ANH & ESB, but what color is used for ROTJ armor? I have seen either black, or nothing (since the bridges actually connect the armor), so what is the ruling on this? Or does it matter? Thanks! RogueTrooper[TK]
Well from what I have found ESB were changed out for black and the ROTJ strapping is black as well. ESB: ESB: ROTJ:
sskunky
When I asemble my suits for customers I don't add any strapping under the shoulder straps as per diagram....... Here is a diagram drawn by an actor and a revised version by our very own TM............ Original..... Revised.......

Darth Hilarious
wait, what!? ESB were black too?? FFFUUUUUU
Darth Hilarious
so sorry to be going on an ESB-related hijack on a RotJ thread, but can we fix that in the Centurion requirements? Because right now it says "Chest and back shall be connected with a white fabric or preferably elastic strap at the shoulders." for ESB. RotJ specifies black
troopermaster
Considering the ESB suits were reused from ANH, I would imagine they had the same white shoulder straps. Maybe someone is getting confused with the MKII armour but that didn't have any strapping on the shoulder. Please show proof of an ESB with black shoulder straps. Darth Hilarious
that's a fair call there, Paul It would be nice to have proof either way Black or white We really shouldn't be building on assumptions (it could be just as easily assumed that the strapping was re-done for ESB as we know the straps across the bicep were no longer used) Plus Ozzel said he wanted proof, not leads Edit: just having a closer look at this pic Is that a bit of white strap showing on the outside of the bridge (and disappearing under the shoulder bell) on his right side? Sorry I can't circle it, I'm on mobilenets Edited October 29, 2012 by Darth Furious
troopermaster
It could be the strap or just the inside of the shoulder bell. Also, the lower strap on the bell is definitely there. All Stormtrooper armour from every film has those straps.
Darth Hilarious
I thought the photo of all the ESB boys sitting on the stairs showed no lower straps (or they were high up enough not to be visible) I could be mistaken though LOL had to rip those off of my kit to in for EIB, I'll be Furious if I have to put them back on
troopermaster
Put them back on...NOW! Seriously, all armour have the straps there. You just don't see them on the guys on the steps because their arms are not connected to anything and are lower than the bells so you can't see them.
