Hi Troopers,

This would be my second test fit after almost a year of putting this project on hold. But now i have plenty of time to finish it. Its not 100% complete as you can see in the pictures. Im still looking for a holster, and i have a hyperfirm e11 coming my way from Lewis. As you can see the boots are huge for me so i have to look for those too. I think the main issue i have with the armor is that the chest plate is riding too low, so im still working on how to fix that.

I am hoping to get approved soon and submitting for EIB as well, so i hope you guys could help me comment and tell me what things i need to fix to get there. Another problem is the three little squares on the belt, when i got the armor it only came with two, and for EIB i understand that you need all three, so if any of you guys out there has an extra, i would gladly pay for it....

Im open to comments and suggestions, so keep them coming..Thanks

looks like your left shin's rear overlap is facing the wrong direction, it should open towards the inside for both legs. The chest and back seem long on you, how tall are you?

For your holster, check with Vern (TKBondsrvnt 2392), he is only a few hours to your north...he makes great holsters.

Hi Charles,

thanks for the input. The shin should be an easy fix, all i have to do is switch the velcro to the other side so it should open to the right direction. As for my height, im really short for a stormtrooper, im about 5'7. I was thinking of trimming the chest plate, but not sure which to trim, the top or the bottom....

Thanks for the holster tip, ill contact Vern soon...

since I did not have to trim the chest or back, I have no guidance to provide on the best way to approach it. Best to get some input from more experienced builders here. If you don;t get any responses in this thread, start one that is specific to this question.

Good luck!

So i finally finished my armor, submitted my application, and within a few hours...... Approved...

I would like to personally thank all you troopers for getting me here.... here are a few things ive done to the armor since my last post,

1. trimmed the chest plate and gave it a return edge.

2. added 6 split rivets on the left side on ab and kidney plate.

3. added a male snap on the right side of the torso

4. use white elastic to connect the chest and back plate

5. added white elastic band to hold down the shoulder strap on the back.

6. holster from Darman (attached to belt with chicago screws)

7. Hyperfirm e11 for Lewis , with D ring added(this thing is a work of art, i love it...thank you lewis)

8. attached knee ammo with rivets

9. rear shin overlap fixed, now facing inward.

10. added two male snaps on the crotch of the butt plate

anyways, enough talking and more pics....

Next on my agenda is getting my EI badge and joining the ranks...a few more things i have to do to get there,

1. get rubber gloves and latex hand guards

2. remove rivets from sniper knee plate

3. get more accurate boots that actually fit me

4. get another square for belt, if you notice from the pics, i only have two. ive contacted Mark but no word, so if anyone out there has an extra, please let me know, because i really need one...

Again i would like to thank you all for all you help and comments.....FISD rules... :peace:

Regards,

Reza

Congrats Trooper!

Great job on the mods. Keep up the good work. We'll look forward to having you join up the EiB and Centurion ranks in no time!!

Yep, looking good. Maybe you can make the biceps a little tighter, you can tell from the pics there's much space in them.

Won't affect EIB or Centurion but helps achieve that slim "trooper look"

Thanks guys, couldn't be happier ....

will look into the biceps to make it tighter, the problem is that they were put together using ABS weld so its going to be hard to tear open.....
