As for the endcap it seems on the MR they are completely fixed with no spring (as it was to be expected anyway) and the release button under it has no role but decorative alas - thus it needs modifications to be able to put the folding stock. But I met an old friend from Germany at the LEGOland event last weekend, and he is making a few different things from cold cast resin. He sold me this Its cast from an original Sterling bolt, and he will be sending me the handle and a spring(he forgot to bring them with him).
