NastyNoah[TK] Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 (edited) After weeks of tweaking my armor I am down to just the thighs being a bit bothersome. They have a tendency to swing and move around more than my other parts and I'm not sure if it is because I need to snug them up a bit or if it because I have a piece of elastic connecting them to my ab. I tried to take a picture showing the amount of room I have in them but from the pics it is hard to see. --------- So should I try to close this gap up some or replace the elastic with webbing? Just how snug should the thighs be? Edited January 24, 2021 by gmrhodes13 link not working, removed gmrhodes13 2021 Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 put some foam inside them to keep em in place. Quote
pandatrooper[TK] Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 I would make them more snug fitting with little to no visible gap. Make sure there is no big gap at the knees either. Personally, I don't use foam if the thighs were built to fit correctly. Quote
Rich330[TK] Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 (edited) I wouldn't sweat it too much. I copied the way one particular set of thighs was built from the LFL archives photos and they fit me personally really snug. But I don't have particularly slim legs. There was a lot of variation on the way the originals fit. Just look at this guy in the promo shots ... --------- Edited January 24, 2021 by gmrhodes13 link not working, removed gmrhodes13 2021 Quote

troopermaster Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 The first thing you need to do is disconnect the strap from your ab plate. You should have the thigh strap attached to a thin belt worn under your armour. Make sure your straps are not too long and you should feel tension on them, keeping the thighs pulled up. If you have your straps hanging more to outside of your waist rather than just straight down I would think that should help. All this depends on how well your thighs actually fit you. If they are too big then you need to trim them down . It is hard to see just how big they are from the photo you have shown. What armour kit do you have? Quote

Length wise my thighs fit me perfect, my current kit is RT-Mod but thinking about looking into some of your TM armor Paul. Would you recommend it for someone who is 6'4" 225 ? Quote
