Hi everyone-Since I want to conform to the ANH requirements, I don't want to use rivets on my shoulder straps. Any suggestions how to attach them? Thanks!

Hi Darlene,

My recommendation is to use canvas or stretchy fabric (or similar) strapping material affixed via velcro or E6000 to the underside of the chest & ab. This way the plastic straps on top are purely cosmetic and are not load bearing at all. I velcro'd the fronts and left the back flapping freely, though at some point I'll glue down the fronts methinks.

I used elastic on the underside as well and glue the ribbed shoulder pieces down to the chest plate (using epoxy) and the backs just are free floating (meaning not attached, they just naturally sit on the back plate).

yeah it's what I've done too

Check the movies out. Luke and Hans are free floating at the rear. A nice bit of elastic stuck onto the inside of the chest and back over the to back plate works wonders.

I just hot guled mine at the chest and warped it fo curve over my shoulders :)

Paul,

Does the shoulder bell pull the shoulder strap down such that you can see it? In other words, does it slip from under the chest strap?
