i have the resin cast mic tips, and screen mesh here... but im not sure how to cut out the screen mesh or how to mount the mesh in the mic tip without it just falling out?

I drew a circle on the mesh with a flet pen

(a little bigger than you need - so the outside diameter of the tip to mark the circle)

Cut it out with scissors and pushed it in from the rear to the front

Ends up a domed shape and won't fall out

Not sure who's tips you have though?

Yeah it is a pain plus it depends what mesh you have

Let's see what the others say as all mine have been hollow

Or make yours hollow and go for a lid speaker system :)

All mine are hollow.

I supply the mesh pre cut.

I've found the easiest way is to find an insert that fits the top where the mesh goes. Place the mesh over the insert and hold securely. Then you simply cut round it with some small wire snips.

I'll take a pic when I get home from work tonight. If you mess up I have plenty of mesh to spare.

I placed the wire mesh over a 12mm socket and cut off the excess.

Then slowly worked the mesh into the mic tip, working one corner then working the opposite and so on till it was where I wanted it.

I received a set from sskunky on Monday - just a mesh sheet, not pre cut (nor painted).

I'll have to buy some tin snips now.
