as far as I know SDS armor is not painted but acrylic capped HIPS. That's going to be tough to match with spraypaint!

Any paint in the US i can match it with ?

Out of interest, what makes it need sanding down?

Bad paint job that someone else did on it left some marks . I didn't notice it at first cause you can't see it from afar , but up close it's there , and needs to be sanded down and repainted . I'm hoping someone would know the exact paint I could use to match . Otherwise , I'm on a long journey spending time buying different paints to get the right one , or at least close to it .

Try asking the person your bought it off (or whoever painted it) what paint they used. SDS armour and helmets are made from 2mm acrylic capped ABS and do not come painted as standard.

it's ABS? Nice!

Well, same thing for the acrylic capped part. Weird that yours is painted though

Only photo i can find right now of me wearing it ( half body shot , sorry ) . As most troopers know that have seen SDS armor up close it's a milky white color .

If Shaun is around maybe he can post his pics of him wearing it to show more .

well,

you can always take the part down to the paint store and have them match your colors.

then you will have to use that paint in your own painting gun.

the key is to have the clear coat covering the paint, and then wax the armor with

the proper car wax.

you're going to want the type of auto paint that is used on bumpers and plastic parts.

most auto body shops could provide a color match and a good clear coat choice.
