If you head over to the www.fl501st.com website you'll see that the Florida Garrison encompasses the entire state. We have 5 squads that cover every section of Florida. For South Florida you have the Everglades Squad which is the best squad, but then again I'm biased.

Also, if you have a set of the old ones it'll be nice to see some comparison shots.

I'm sure there are more people qualified to answer this but I like the way mine look at around a quarter of an inch from the ammo part of the belt.
-
I was told that they are going to be a little taller and have a slightly more rounded toe point that will look more accurate.
Interesting.
Please post pics anyone who gets a new set. I'm trying to decide whether or not to go jodhpurs or a set of tk boots for my next pair.

I have some pretty nice split rivets I can send your way. PM me with your info and I'll try to get them to you.

Had a blast at this concert last night. The best part was that I ended up being the trooper that he came up to! I'll be posting links to pics as I get them and also the video that was shot. Here's hoping he does a tour again next year!

We are in the process of updating our current design, making our custom made boots even better! You read it correctly, even better!
Thank you all for being so extremely patient while we made the new molds, this has set us behind almost two months and we're extremely sorry.
The first production run of our new design will be finished soon and we'll begin shipping via our back order lists.
We will post photos of our new design soon!
Any idea of what the "new design" looks like??

Welcome to the FISD and the Florida Garrison. Where abouts in Florida are you anyway?
Also, don't forget to sign up over at the www.fl501st.com boards and say hi. If you send me a PM over there I can help you out with some info.

I believe it's Stormtrooper armor.
-
It's all personal preference, but ATA would fit his body type as well. I'm 6' and 220 and it fits me pretty well. Just need to lose a few lbs and it'll be perfect.

Very nice. I really cant wait to get working on mine. I have the box sitting here next to me just staring at me. I just finished my ESB and now I've got an ANH bucket and some other things to work on so not yet.
-
When I just did mine, I actually put everything on and had my GF drill directly into my armor through the belt to get the right spot. I like living on the edge.

I've only had a hips bucket before so I can't really speak about the armor, but yeah definitely like the ABS way more than HIPS. I had around 3 or 4 cracks, one very serious one, on my bucket in the year that I spent trooping with it. That's not to say that my ABS armor didn't crack, but I wasn't really putting as much stress on my bucket as on some of the armor pieces that gave me problems so yeah. I troop a lot and I appreciate durability way more than anything HIPS can offer.

You can pick up cheap canvas drop cloths from Lowe's for like 5 bucks. Just make sure they're the ones without the plastic on the backs.
-
DIRTTTYYYY!!!
When are you going to wear this? I cant wait to see it in person.
-
Welcome to the FISD and welcome to the FLG as well. Are you going to be staying up there, or will you eventually be coming back to SoFla? It'd be nice to have another TK In the Everglades Squad.
BTW, I'm actually a HUGE TNG fan myself.
-
That's how most of mine are made. I just bend the tabs on each side a bit so it'll grip. Otherwise, you can use the method Pandatrooper posted here somewhere. He uses rivets to connect the snaps to the plastic.

Well.. Mr no stripes wouldn't be approved either and he's on screen like 4 times throughout the movie.
True that!

Thanks for posting this! I may take this into consideration when making my build.
On another note, I also have been kicking my armor about. I kicked my ESB chest plate across the room the other day face down. Too bad my floors are clean.
-
Funny that that's allowed but mounting the holster on the belt on the outside as seen in screen caps and on actual armor is a no no.
