  1. IMHO the DP statue looks quite bad, I mean "accurate detail" wise. Well, better still than FX and all it's derivatives...
  2. I have made an observation that I think never popped up in any EIB/Centurion discussions: some people insist on using seperate ab plate buttons (the kind that are affixed via screws or such nonsense). Only painted ab buttons that are part of the vac-formed armor piece are accurate. I think these single screw-on buttons should not be allowed for Centurion or even EIB for that matter.
  3. Since the pics show Endor anyways, let me make the following remark: you saw the wood before louder trees not!

  5. Just a side note: Mathias, you are sooooo gonna love your Jörg/Blastech blaster. Those babies are sa-weeeeeet! Rich, I am looking forward to checking out your ROTJ blaster tomorrow. And we have some manly stitching and sewing to do!
  6. Ow, I didn't even mean "made wonky", I meant I trimmed mine wonky. But yeah, I had a suspicion you might be into screen accuracy, Paul...
  7. Wonky it is, then! My TM belt actually is a bit wonky. Yay!
  8. I have the same "problem" with not being able to show pics of what I mean. I am referencing pictures of Simon's suit as well and on the very up-close detail pics of the belt I saw, there was almost no edge besides the slight curvature of where the vac-formed plastic was pulled over the boxes - I still think that on Chris' belt, the edge is a bit too prominent, but only slightly so. We're talking millimeters here...
  9. Here's a pic of my belt, I have pics of original belts (which are not my pics so I won't post them here) to show that there was almost no to no "edge" left standing, it is just as high as the "boxes". Chris left 2mm standing, top and bottom, and I just (nitpickingly) suggested to get rid of those as well: Like I mentioned already: it was the only tiny detail, besides internal strapping, that I thought could be futzed with a bit more.
  10. Chris, that was an easy job for me as GML. Welcome to the German Garrison! The belt: it should not be higher than the separate "boxes" on the front part - nitpicking, really, but I have reference if it should still be unclear. You left a small edge top and bottom...not sure what you mean with "chest" and all that, though?
  11. Consider this, though: riveting will be more sturdy, accurate AND it's easier than you might think - I did it as well exactly as Mark suggested. Besides, you can always rip the pink foam out any time.
  12. See, I told you Rich. BTW, I could not for the life of me find screen caps of square frowned troopers - you were right, Paul, I must've imagined things. Happens with age...
  13. Your shoulders are quite ill-fitting in frontal view, showing way too much black undersuit - also, they look small on you despite you being very slim but that is due to the ATA kit being small-ish all around I guess. Otherwise: clean build! Some final tweaks like suggested will do the job.
  14. Soon, there'll be an update here. This here TM is no more, I have switched to RS armor now. Expect a "re-application" for Centurion by the end of 2011. Gotta say though: selling this awesome TM was not easy for me... I love that armor so much and built it to my standards of sccuracy perfection. But it had to go so I can build my ANH stomtrooper number 4 (and 5).
  15. Ow, another project, huh? Have you decided on how to attach the chin strap in the Jedi bucket?
  16. Here's a couple more pics from our CfO helmet building session. Rich wearing another kind of helmet: The finished lid without paint or decals: Rich insisted on using this unusual colour of internal padding... Here's an inside look on the topic at hand: (Get it? "inside"..."look"...hilarious! ) Wearing it, the pink padding on the inside made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Let's do that again some time soon, mate! Funny weekend.
  17. Thanks to perspective, you could both be same size... I detect a ever-so-slightly more female-ish attitude in the trooper on the right. Now don't tell me that's you, Mathias. Anyways, looking great. Love the BFGs.
  18. I could also do with a new set that will not crease and wrinkle as badly as my TK-4510 ones did on my CFO bucket.
  19. I swear I've seen quite a lot square frowns in the movie? Just rambling on from memory here, but I'm sure I saw the respective screencaps not too long ago... Will check again.
