  1. Imperial Raxus Prime is loaded with them especially towards the end.
  2. Come to think of it, I just played through the imperial felucia level on the force unleashed and there wasnt a single stormtrooper commander. where the hell did the felucia come from in the first place?
  3. well not in the game it would seem, unless the Jango clones had their vocal cords tweaked. In fact most of the troopers in the game sound exactly like the ones in the original trilogy which would lead me to believe that they are either clones of someone else or the distortion caused by the comm in their helmets makes their voices indifferent.
  4. Lets not forget - the hand plates that are white instead of blue - The size and number of stripes on the biceps and forearms - the placement of the stripes on the boots Also howabout the fact that the action figure has a clonetrooper head underneath his helmet even though none of the stormtroopers in the game are clones. Thats an aweful lot of differences to be mistakes... Personally i like the back plate painted better but thats just not how its suppose to be.
  5. then what was the purpose to declaring the in game commander a mistake?
  6. If your upset because you painted your armor differently then the actual game, why dont you just fix it instead of constantly coming up with ways to justify it? If they allready had a model built and skinned (The Render) how could they forget to put a stripes on? IF they intended the commander to look that way then they would have just used that model instead of the one in the game? No The figure was based on a render of a possible stormtrooper model which has been posted several times. Even so, we do not base our costumes off Ralph Macquarie's artwork of stormtroopers, we base them off of the stormtrooper from the film which is the final version and the stormtrooper as is. As such the stormtrooper commander in the game is the equivalent of the stormtrooper commander as is. Why does it being a hasbro figure make a difference? Do some research on the long sad history of star wars figures and inaccuracies.
  7. Since there was no stormtrooper commander before the game i find it hard that they made an error and left something out. I highly doubt there are any errors in the force unleashed. Remember that the lead developers for battlefront were from Pandemic Studios, not lucasarts. Lucasarts however was the lead developer of the PS3 and XBox360 versions of the force unleashed, it highly unlikely that anything in such a polished game as force unleashed was a "mistake" or "left out" Also remember that the action figure is based on the game not the other way around so i find it difficult to think that the game could be leaving elements of the character out. The studios provided visual renders to hasbro long before the game was completed so that hasbro could have the line of figures finished and ready to ship before the release of the game. The Stormtrooper commander action figure was a promo handed out to the first customers who purchased the game when it was released at the stores. This would mean that the action figure had to go through production long before the game was finalised and the final design of the stormtrooper commander was implemented. I however agree that for 501st requirements if the costume displays a pattern "similar" to that of the game or recognizable as such then it should be accepted. However for EIB requirements it should match the game. We are a group that costumes as characters from the star wars universe, not hasbro action figures.
  8. ----------- scroll down to the 5th post. i posted a long stream of slightly grainy photos of the character model in the game. They are grainy because i took them of my TV screen of the game which i own for ps3. These pictures are the stormtrooper commander in its final design as it was released in the game by lucasarts. There should be no arguement that these are the paint standards that should be followed for at least EIB requirment because they are the equivalent of a costume as seen in the movies, a final draft in a sense.
  9. They are suppose to be white alot of people jumped the gun and painted their armor before doing proper research into it and now we have the group who painted there armor allready based off the toys and are now argueing theirs is right. Ugh... for EIB at least i think the stripes should follow the in game references not the renders or the toys or models
  10. im sorry but youre wrong, the biceps are exactly where they are suppose to be and the shoulder bells are there they are blending into the commanders personal force field please look closer before making comments. Your just getting upset because you followed the inaccurate toys and now you are trying to justify your mistake. Thats fine and im not saying people shouldnt be allowed 501st access for improper stiping, for 501st CRL i think if its close it should be accepted im not that anal. In the interest of EIB however i think proper striping based on the game is important. please look at the other shots i took of the trooper standing straight before passing judgement
  11. Like i said before the render doesnt match the game so i dont know what the deal is I think its pre-vis and concept because you unlock some of those pics when you finish the game under artwork gallery
  12. The render doesn't match the game which is the problem and that makes me a little iffy about the render and its accuracy. It could be a pre-visualization which is what they sent to the toy companies as their guide which would explain the different striping.
  13. Most of the legiosn members dont own the game or have never played it so their only reference to it is toys and models. Contact your GML and like him to the proposed CRL post for in game photos. This is of course something that needs to be ironed out and the word needs to be spread. For people who know that toys and models have inaccuracies, its suprising to me how quick everyone is to jump at the first thing they see and say "thats how it is" The sideshow 12" looks like hes wearing FX armor... My advise is to follow the ps3 screenshots i posted from in game especially since the action figures and all of sideshows models all have completely different patterns and line placement....they cant even keep it consistant. When push comes to shove and everything gets figured out the game reference will win and youll be glad to have followed it. The comic-con hasbro exclusive action figure this year is the ST commander so hopefully it will get the costume more attention but sadly its just a rehash of the original figure so the pattern will be wrong too....this makes me sad
  14. the first page is covered in photos i took from my PS3 Here is another from wiki
  15. Model stretching isnt the problem with todays technology that it use to be. Even if the game model stretches the skin and textures are painted flat so they move with the model it wouldnt change the position of the stripes on the armor. The PS3 and Xbox360 versions were made by lucasarts and are the better source over the wii, psp and ps2 versions which were made by a different company.
  16. There are two stipes on both the bicep and forarm to respresent the two stripes branching off of the chest plate down the arms. Like i said in my other post the sideshow model and any other physical representations do not have the correct number of stripes nor are they placed correctly. the stripes on the bicep run ALONG the inside of the embossed seam they are NOT ON TOP OF the embossed seams. Here is a quick diagram i made for the RIGHT ARM as if you were wearing it just revers it for the left arm.
  17. Its probably not a good idea to carry that much money around in your wallet anyways
  18. guess i should do this too requesting status http://www.501st.com/members/displaymember...php?userID=7753
  19. I PMed you earlier did you not get it?
  20. FX armor with appropriate stripes will get you into the 501st. I think its the EIB requirements that are a little confusing. The armor is obviosuly ROTJ but the helmet and gloves are ANH. However ROTJ armor isnt as readily available as ANH.
  21. ok well using a paint called "Color Place" on anything probably isnt a good idea. Tempora water colors are great for TD weathering though
  22. wow, someones angry actually you can get great spray paint for that price you just sound like your buying bad brands. Rustoleum painters touch which is an excellent paint in my oppionion as well as krylon paints are only about $4 a can. but first of all, why would you be touching your armor with a spray paint called "Color Place" that costs 98 cents from Walmart? That just sounds like poor judgement.
  23. Your not really suppose to sand between each coat because then your just starting over each time. After youve got it primed and sanded and cleaned you apply each coat within a few minutes of eachother or else the its going to leave half dried paint underneath your last coat which causes problems.
  24. I clear coated my scout trooper , it definetly gives it a real nice glossy look. You pretty much have to do it like another coat right after your last coat of your base color or else it will turn into a wrinkly mess. its also really risky since clearcoat especially over a glossy surface can be extremely difficult because you cant tell how much paint youve applied since its clear which make runs and dripping a real common problem. With this kind of paint though you really dont need to clear coat its just kind of overkill. With three solid coats of this stuff, if your doing something thats chipping the paint then clear coat really isnt going to help.
