  1. We are everywhere . lol!!! I was on 635 last week also, but only seen a high speed chase on the southside on I20. You wanna see a Starship Diner? I saw this " Starship Pegasus" below Dallas on I-35E. And its For Sale!! I tried to upload a pic, but it failed. How do I unload old pics posted here, so I can share new pics with everyone?
  2. Who was the smokin Hot green chick Kirk was playin with in the movie? WOW!!!!
  3. Check around at the Goodwills, or any Sporting goods store. I've looked at probably 100 different kinds of helmets, and finally decided on the liner for a Baseball catchers helmet. It looks comfortable, comes in 3 pieces, allows air circulation and looks stylish too. beware though, "Dicks" sells them for $83.. Everybodys different, and just get something that you like, and that is comfortable. Velcro it in, so you can take it out and clean it.
  4. heres a new idea. Cover it with black hook velcro and small Cog patch. Just a thought, I have no idea how it would look, havent tried it yet.
  5. I got one of those toy clone trooper helmets today, and I'm thinking about taking out the voice changer system, and internal lense frames and moding them too my Stormtrooper helmet. Has anyone else done this? Any advise for us?
  6. They may have been out for a while, but I just noticed 2 new posters at Wally World. Now. I got both on the wall and framed. 1.Has many Sw characters on it. 2. Has a lot of Movie art on it frome episodes IV, V, VI.
  7. So far I've found 4 different Stormtroopers. EVO Trooper, Sandtrooper, Spacetrooper & Han Solo trooper. How many are there? Plus, How many different Clone trooper action figures are there in the new Legacy collection?
  8. Nope, but handing out match boxes to everyone probably would. lol
  9. PPal sent for Titanium. You guys have been very helpful and resourceful, and I appreciate it very much. I'm looking forward to joining your ranks soon.
  10. You may be correct about the helium. I was thinking of using a lightweight material such as thin wall paneling ( like in a trailer) for the skin, and use heavier material on the bottom to prevent it from flipping over. then use different size bags on the interior too keep it horizontal when inflated. The shield generators could be helium filled soccer balls. If anyone else has any ideas on this, please respond. Plus, if someone wants to run with this idea.... your welcome to it. Hopefuly in the future, I will find the time too try to build this. But currently, I'm focusing on my stormtrooper outfit and prepping my car for the upcoming car show season.
  11. I've been daydreaming about building a large scale Star Destroyer. LOL here's my thoughts...... I've located a model Star Destroyer at a local hobby shop. Use the model assembly instructions for reconstructing larger pieces for a much larger scale model. Convert the measurements from 1 inch =1 foot. a 1ft long assembled model would equal a 12 foot long Star Destroyer. Build the pieces with thin plywood or something lighter. Use something light for the frame. Here's the crazy part.lol Too get it to hover for a parade or event, insert a large bag when building it, and inflate it with helium or another light gas to get it to float 5 -6 foot. I wonder though, how heavy would it need to be to prevent it from floating away? It needs to be light enough to control. Would it even work? I got to much time on my hand driving a truck.lol
  12. I'm currently putting together my Stormtrooper suit, and I need a TK number. Do I create one, or do I request one? Is TK 8852 available? I'm currently a member to the forums, and I am a proud owner of a unassembled FX Stormtrooper suit. Whats next?
  13. Thanks for the hard work. I was beginning to have FISD forum withdrawals lol.
  14. Yeah, thats the interveiw. I dont consider SW fans a cult. And maybe I took the fanatic thing wrongly. But still, I feel this is a great and fun hobby, that I really enjoy doing. Thanks for finding those links.
  15. Found it, but couldnt get the whole article. Its in the archives at USA Today. It ran Jan. 23. 2009 pg D.3 Life section
  16. Did anyone else read the article? It came out 1 week prior to the Superbowl on a weekend edition, maybe the Thursday prior. JE Jones recieved an award for his movie carreer, and was interveiwed about some of his past movies. can anyone find the article and link it for evryone? He made some comments about SW fans, that I feel was inappropriate.
  17. I attend many car shows every year, and some of the car show sites have a national calender. I was thinking something similar with this idea. For instance Hubcap cafehas a list of States. Click the state for event info near you.
  18. Can events from across the nation be posted on a calender? Being a truck driver would allow me to attend different regional events. Other traveling and neiboring regional troopers could do the same. I'm new at this and am learning more about the 501st daily. ~ Derek aka Knighthawk
  19. Has anyone ever seen any homemade large scale SW spacecraft? So far, I've stumbled across a large X-Wing fighter at Streetsboro, Ohio. Is anyone making SSD's or other craft for parade floats? Just curious.
  20. I got a question about the undersuits? Is the Henderson Lyca Dive Skin suit recommended? Is it to hot to wear during warm months? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
  21. I see them at antique malls going for $5 to $8 depending on the dealer. They would be worth more$$$ if they was still packaged with the accessories.
