i actually have mix/matched systems, and i can answer this question. I used the respirator system, but was unhappy with the sound quality, as it is "too good". stormtrooper coms dont sound like perfectly amplified voice, which is what the respirator system is striving to do. In the end, after experimentation with a few systems, i found that the respirators amp was very nice, and combined with the walmart voicechanger microphone, and stompers hovis, the sound quality is that perfect "radio" sounding voice, with great volume, and good feedback control with the volume knob from the SEA system.

my wife does some sunday school work, and a few weeks ago, the church youth group spent a monday night in the church "finding christianity in halo 3" sounds funny but i bet it was fun heh. i think its a smart way to reach out to the right agegroups.

damn thats a neat clean interior! I do see one problem that could use attention though. your fans have no air source! im not sure how they feel right now, but with the experience ive had with computer fans, your likely only feeling about 10-15% effectiveness from those fans if that, your also putting undue strain on the motors because you are creating a vacuum behind the fan blades, forcing the fan to fight against that instead of just moving air. I think you will find that if you can give those fans about 1 inch of clearance behind the blades, your airflow will increase by a significant amount, you will reduce vibration and noise, and get a longer life from your fans. mounting the fans with a small 1 inch spring will do all of the above.

I agree, obviously a nice unit for the price. BUT, quality of voice transmission is not necessarily a good thing when attempting to sound like a storm trooper. IMO, the low quality reproduction of a cheap voice changer amp, mimics the sound of a storm trooper better than any quality amp will. just my 2c

im very curious seeing people mount these behind chestplates.... how is the sound propagation for a speaker faced up directly to the plastic like that? what amount of volume do you lose? is there any tone change? muffling?

before i get roasted if its been talked about....i did search... now, as im about to begin assembling my e11 kit, i notice that nearly all holsters are lefty, and e11s all appear that way too. but as im sure many rightys will attest, holding a weapon left handed feels about as goofy as tryin to throw a football left handed. question is, would a right handed blaster be acceptable? (ie, clip on right of barrel, counter would likely stay left side)

just use a PC dvd drive, xbox360, ps3, all of these will play it regardless of region. not to mention 5 minutes on google will show you how to unlock your dvd player for all regions. I know this for a fact, because i got my copy from Australia.

I recently ordered a copy and love the movie. and i can appreciate that your just trying to allow everyone a chance to see it.... I could see lending it to local friends/family to share the 501st experience.... but something about burning copies of it seems....i dont know, counterproductive. Shouldnt people want to purchase it to support the organisation they are a part of? just my 2c
